“Clean rooms good parking and friendly staff”

“Pull into the parking lot and you can tell right away it’s the place to bring a prost itute or find drugs. Was approached by a black man as soon as I stopped my vehicle! Trash and filth surrounding the building. Stained and dirty walls. Stained and dirty sheets, mattress protectors, and mattress. Ancient heater and ac that looked hazardous. Disgusting and unsafe.”

“Bad area, suspicious people in the parking lot late at night loitering. Bad odors about the rooms and hallways. Grafiti on some of the walls. Did not feel safe. Staff all gathered in one area with manager lording over them. Same person working though the night working during the day. Breakfast a joke bare minimum, bagels, bread, apples, 2 cereal choices. “I stayed here because I was going to a concert at Proctors Theatre and this hotel was only a short 8 minute walk to the theater. I was pleasantly surprised by the room for an inexpensive hotel. The room was very clean and well maintained. The bed was reasonably comfortable the towels were fairly new and soft. The downside? The building on the outside could use some work and the area around the hotel was suspect. However, as you walk toward downtown it gets better quickly. Since I was only...

“Clerk was helpful in helping me correct a booking error (my fault, booked the wrong night). Room was tidy. But the shower had some hardware issues which was annoying. I’ve stayed at this hotel several times without any serious complaints or concerns.”

“It was a decent room, fairly clean. I wasn't expecting a 4 star experience from a budget hotel. There were a few things that could have been better though. The breakfast was nice, but to say that options were limited would be an understatement. The only real negative was average at best water pressure and temperature. The room was clean, but it looked like it could use a thorough deep clean. Furniture was well used but still functional.”

“The location was good,right across from the mall. However the hotel is between the on ramps to the 87so you just have to really pay attention when turning into the parking lot.The staff was very friendly. The rooms were clean but really in need of cosmetic updates - painting and update the bathroom. Also there is no breakfast included as it states on the website. Coffee and tea were available though”

“The hotel was filthy dirty, there people outside smoking, the hallways smell like marijuana , I arrived there at 5pm, I was running late for an event, did not have time to inspect the rooms fully. I placed my bag in the room and ran out by 6pm. Upon returning, I was greeted by a cockroach coming out of the room, when I went inside there was another in front of the door. “I would not ever choose to stay here again. The hotel had an outdated and dirty feeling overall. We had a pillow on our bed thay was dirty and my husband found a disposable mouth guard in his fitted sheet. Our faucet was super strong and shot water everywhere. We walked by the pool and there was lots of trash. Around 11pm we had kids knocking on our door and then running away. The breakfast was subpar.”

“The room was disgusting with broken furniture and stains all over. The bathroom had cigarette burns on the counter the carpets in the hallways were threadbare. It looked like a no tell motel.”

“The room was very nice and staff were very friendly and helpful. Wonderful location. My only complaint is while the towels were large enough and very soft they did not absorb water very well. The was a very nice coffee shop in the hotel. The building is historical and they are still working on some of the details so anticipate things getting even better”

“Great hotel, brand new as of 6/2026 and the best option in Schenectady. Conveniently located to the heart of town with a nice view of the river.”
