“Un albergo in posizione isolata, ma vicinissimo a Keswick. Camera molto comoda, pulita con ottimo letto. Colazione super, molto curata. Personale attento e gentile. Abbiamo anche cenato la sera: ristorante sopra le attese, cucina di territorio, raffinata e buona. Ci torneremo senz’altro alla prima occasione. Ambiente curato, pulito e tipico di una Inn di alto livello.”

“Really comfortable, quiet and clean bedroom, the bathroom was on the small side and not as nice as the rest of the room (still nice enough). The staff were friendly but seemed very busy so they just gave us the key and pointed us in the direction of the outbuiling where our bedroom was located. If you have heavy luggage or struggle with stairs our room would not be for you as there were some very steep stairs.”

“Booked a double room but got a room with 3 single beds. Not the end of the world but not what I booked. Beds were uncomfortable. Mattress was really thin, when you sat on it you were basically sat on the bed base and when you laid on the bed you could feel the springs in your back and side. The walls were wafer thin, you can hear the tap running and toilet etc from the room next door. Also the water in the bathroom made a right racket when you ran the tap, shower or flushed the toilet. “The reason I haven’t scored 5 is that Expedia sold us a room that had issues with noise / cooking smells as it’s above the kitchen and is noisey and smelly when the staff are cooking. We stayed in a room named Helvellyn and Expedia didn’t state any issues with any rooms. If we had booked direct with the queens head it details the room helvellyn as having issues with noise etc due to it’s proximity to the kitchen. I think Expedia have been misleading not detailing the facts about that particular...

“Lovely hotel, clean comfortable room all be it a bit small even though it was described as a cosy double it was small, ok for a 2 night stay but would not be ideal for longer. Air conditioned was a bonus Breakfast was excellent both mornings.”

“Lovely room. We booked the dog friendly room and we had dog bowls, and a doggy treat pack including toy, treats & poo bags. Nice little touch! Great food as always, lovely full English breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Would definitely recommend.”
