My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary in the New Forest, never stayed in this area before and were are so delighted we chose The Forest Park Country Hotel for our stay. “We arrived in a heatwave and were given a room I didn’t feel comfortable in. The receptionist worked hard and found us a much bigger room with more windows to open. She also suppled us with an extra large fan which kept us cool at night. All the staff were extremely, friendly and efficient. ”

“Had a lovely stay, our room was up some very steep stairs, need to be careful. Some items in the room need some TLC, but overhaul very nice.

“Booked the room for a family event nearby. Were able to check in at 2pm, which was a bonus. Met by the owner who was very friendly and helpful and shown to our room which was very pleasant and clean. A Dyson fan on the room was much appreciated on a very hot day. Comfortable bed, great shower and nice breakfast. No negatives. Would highly recommend.”

“Good food options, because I have an ankle injury ,and moonboot , I found it difficult to get in bed and also have a shower ,no rails and high bath.

If i had to moan, queen size bed was 2 tiny singles pushed together. And my side sloped down to the floor and it would be nice if the juice at breakfast was chilled. Howeverbreakfast and food in general was very good. Would definitely return”

“Stayed for a couple of nights, wish we could have stayed longer! Room was bigger than expected, clean and lots of light, comfy bed,. Food delicious, cocktails and drinks great, staff friendly and welcoming and a besutiful setting by the river and lush gardens. Hope to return again. ”

“We stayed in the Treehouse Suite and it was Amazing. Secluded, fabulous accommodation, all the treehouses have hot tubs and transport to and from in a golf buggy style car ( chauffeur driven ). Everything about the hotel was faultless and there’s NOTHING we would have changed. 10/10”

“We couldn't fault the service, nothing was too much trouble. We had supper in the pub and the food was delicious, so much so that we couldn't manage a full breakfast the next day which was a pity. We will certainly be staying at the Montagu Arms again. The location was perfect”

“As maturer visitors, we found that having only one handrail on the stairs was challenging. An extra handrail would help. Other than that it was a great stay. If we are to return to the area the Bosuns Chair would be our first choice. ”
