Guest house a Sentiero Trans Pennine Trail

“Carol runs a beautiful place and always makes us.welcome”

“Nice bed and good shower, staff were lovely. Room very compact, noise from outside and the kitchen in the mornings.”

“The room was clean and comfortable. Yea and coffee provided. Plenty of space to get ready. Bed was comfortable. We had been out drinking and was a late night the morning after I asked if we could extend our check out time the request was accepted at no extra cost. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.”

“Very enjoyable stay, clean and spacious room. Lots of choices for breakfast. Handy for shopping near town centre. Definitely recommend this place.”

“Good location, but some things could be improved We stayed at the hotel and overall had a mixed experience. The location is very good—it’s not far from the city centre and also not far from the train station, which was very convenient. The first room we were given had a double bed, which was fine as I was staying with my daughter. However, the shared shower was not working properly and there was no hot water. Thankfully, Joan was very helpful when we contacted her and arranged for us to move...

“Willow cottage at Harmony House B&B is a self contained, privately accessed property attached to the back of the B&B. There is a beautiful lounge that doubles up as a second bedroom with a nifty Murphy bed in a stylish cupboard, a large dining room table and comfortable seating for 4 people. The small but perfectly equipped kitchen was a welcome addition as was the milk and delicious fudge left for us by the warm and friendly owner, Adele. The beautiful bedroom upstairs is charming and quirky...

“Clean room, old furnitures and the carpet makes room smell of humidity and old. There is a grocery store not far and at walking distance the stadium. Rooms are noisy, you can hear when the water pump waters in different rooms and the street accross”

“Better than expected for the price. Nothing extraordinary however it was clean, felt secure and safe, the owners were attentive and made it clear to reach out if we needed anything. Shared bathroom wasn’t the nicest but it was pretty clean and did the job absolutely. Heating in the room so wasn’t cold. Good overall !”

“We only stayed at Ashbourne House for one night and it was very nice. Lovely room with a Comfortable bed, great shower and towels. Plenty if tea and coffee, and if you ran out you could get more from a dish on the landing also a sweet treat if you needed it, which I thought was a nice touch. It was a bit away from restaurants and the main shopping but public buses stopped just down the road and was easy to catch and came regularly if you didn’t have a car. If you did have a car there seemed...

“Confusing to check in. It should be pointed out that check in is at the cafe next door. Otherwise all ok for an overnight stay.”

“Very disappointing. Room was cold and tv not working. Left voicemail for contact twice but received no response. Had to put spare duvet on top of bed. The fact that this spare duvet was in the wardrobe perhaps indicates that the lack of heat is a continuing problem. Internet was intermittent and difficult to get. Towels very hard - suggest you take your own.”

“Outstanding! Beautiful building, super comfortable room, super friendly and helpful host, convenient location. I was upgraded to the 2nd floor family suite with beautiful Gothic stained glass windows and a tower! Great experience, highly recommended.”

“I enjoyed my stay clean very nice place”

“Hotel carino e accogliente, con un’atmosfera piacevole. Il personale è stato sempre gentile e disponibile, e la colazione davvero ottima e varia. Abbiamo soggiornato per due notti: la camera era pulita al nostro arrivo, ma durante il soggiorno non è stato effettuato il servizio di pulizia giornaliera. Nel complesso, comunque, esperienza positiva.”

“A beautiful place to stay with a cosy room, gorgeous decor and a lovely welcoming feel. Friendly hosts and a delicious breakfast. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend it to anyone. A real gem!”

“Friendly staff, room in need of some decoration, no shampoo, noisy area until 4am”
