Friendly, helpful staff. Clean room with very comfortable bed and hot bath/shower. The bar restaurant area is wonderfully historic and very atmospheric. The menu is superb and the bar has a good selection of real ales. All in all a very pleasant place to stay.

This place was truly amazing, I was staying for one night as part of cycling Lands End to John o Groats, there was somewhere safe to store my bike , the food was amazing, the room was quirky and comfortable and the staff were very friendly also the dog Fred was so lovely, would definitely recommend 👍

The photos on the site and the reviews on the internet were a trigger to book this hotel and we weren’t disappointed to say the least. After a very warm welcome we got into the room which was exactly as we hoped for, a four poster bed , a bathroom with a good shower and bath and even a swing set. The herb garden is a must see. This hotel is a wonderful place to stay and I would recommend this to everyone. The people who work there are most friendly and very helpful when needed. I can imagine that it’s getting very warm during hot summers, no airco in the room. The street is pretty noisy as well.

A surprising gem
We smiled and laughed in a nice way. Step back in time to an old fashioned pub/Inn with modern amenities. Ensuite shower room, internet etc. Genuine High Brass bed, dated but perfectly adequate furnishings. The swing in the room is the talking point and could support my weight of about 200 lbs !! We shared with friends and are now labelled "swingers" Do not be discouraged, this place is more than ok. The food is very, very good and great value. Staff are friendly and helpfull. Would have liked an opening window for some fresh air in our room. Other than that it's fine. Local interest is Iron Bridge and lovely local scenery. Have Fun & Enjoy

Great place, shame about the rooms
Beautiful setting, stunning buildings, great staff, but the rooms are so dated they're hard to sleep in and have a random swing in which really brought the experience down. Just because its an ols building doesnlt mean you cant modernise the rooms

Very Friendly, Great food. Steaks from the local farm and vegetables direct from their own gardens (they encourage you to walk around the garden to see the fruit and veg area)

Lovely Hotel and Stay
This was a last minute panic booking as let down by our original stay. We had two dogs with us and we were all welcome. Lovely room, brilliant food and a secure garden we could let the dogs run around in. Would stay again if we were passing through.

I took a customer from Germany to this area and choosed this great place to stay. The place is from 1700+something and is upsolutly great ref. service, food, room, location, friendly. I hope I need to go there again as food and service so as rooms and any others were just great.

What a gem of a hotel. Wonderful authentic atmosphere and the food was fantastic the best sirloin steak I have ever had. Breakfast was delicious too with fresh coffee. The staff were so helpful. Their garden was amazing and the work they must do to keep it so good must definitely a labour of love. They have an amazing herb garden too. Special thanks to lovely Libby who I was chatting with while making up table decorations with flowers from their garden, she made me a special posy with forget me not flowers, forsythia, mint and mini daffodils all beautifully arranged in a jar for me to put on my mums grave today. Very thoughtful and special memories for me to take away from Hundred House Hotel. Once again a huge thank you Libby. Will definitely be back to this unique hotel.

This was our second stay at The Hundred House and once again they were utterly wonderful. It's a beautiful location, a stunning historical building, with faultless hospitality and exceptional food. The location is perfect for Ironbridge, the RAF museum at Cosford, or Telford itself, and compared to the prices of boring chain hotels in the area it is staggeringly good value. I'm sure we'll be back again in the future.

Very nice especially if you like swings!!!
The location was ideal for me for the business trip I was on, the food at the hotel was outstanding but the room that I was in was not decorated to a style that I found pleasant, each person has their own styles and this room was very old fashioned and the strangest thing was there was a swing in the room!!! Apart from the decor (which I can't hold against the hotel as it is an old building) the only downside is that my room was at the front next to the very busy road and I was woken up early each morning by the sound of traffic. All staff were very pleasant and professional and as I said the food was outstanding, just slightly limited in choice.

Really homely hotel with lots of atmosphere, an excellent restaurant and menu. Very kind and helpful staff. Stayed 2 nights with my dog and enjoyed lunch and dinner both days. Plenty of walks and close to the Coalbrookdale attractions and the Apsley Farm shop complex. Will stay there when next in the area, for sure.

Really quirky hotel which was spotlessly clean, decor a little tired but added charm. Only downside was room was a little noisy but it is on a busy country lane. Also £10 for room service charge? Got to admit the food was good and the breakfast was delish!!

We were not told when they finish serving breakfast.So, when we went to the dining room at 10.30 in the morning,there was no breakfast being served. My husband who is diabetic had already injected his morning insulin.Crisis!!! Fortunately a nice young man in the area gave us cereal .

Great character
I loved this place - not for those who like modern minimalism. It is very olde world, quaint, though well maintained and clean - I felt as if I had walked into a fairy tale or a scene from Alice in Wonderland, the swing in my room made me smile. The hotel has a herb garden and a secret garden and many other unusual little touches which give the rooms and setting tremendous character. The food was decent verging on excellent gourmet, though the chairs hard wood and unforgiving so not a pub to relax in. They were short staffed when I stayed so the service was slow, though friendly and polite.

Lovely 2 night stay. Very quirky. Had a swing in our room! Beautiful gardens to walk around. Food excellent. All the staff are very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is situated by quite a busy road, so if windows are opened there is some traffic noise. Fans were provided, but not as good as air conditioning.
