“Amazing - if you are interested in the last few hundred years of U.S. History, I'd put this one on your list of places to visit. Just a great experience. Out of the innumerable artifacts dating back to the end of the 18th century, I particularly was taken back by the original copy of a page from April 15th, 1865 - I didn't have time to see everything. The property's stewards will most likely offer a tour and they are really nice folks. I thought this location was aggressively under priced. ”

“The inn was so unique and had such amazing history. Frank was the sweetest and so nice about us coming in later. When we came he showed us around and told us all about Smithville’s history and some of the artifacts there. Can’t wait to come again! ”

“The rooms carpet felt dirty, there were hairs on the “clean towels,” the the blankets were paper thin, the door to the room was made out of thin material and not safe feeling. Outside our window was garbage including a tampon. Outside of the room the hall was out dated and had some liquid damages in spots. ”

“There was a lot of dust in high places and all over the hair dryer. The Iron was full of water. As a person who suffers from severe allergies, those little dust bunnies are monsters. The room we wanted was not available, hot tub down. The gentlemen at the front desk made it worth my while and offered me a discount due to the tub being unusable. He was very hospitable! ”

It was not inside Platte City within any conceniences yoy can walk to, but with a car everythinv is easily reachable. I would stay here again with my family. ”

“When I first walked in to the time I left, the staff was great, friendly and efficient. The interaction with my grandchild every time made her feel special. Every thing was clean and easy to use. The pool is a little old, but we had a blast in there. The staff even turned music on , once they saw we were in there. We did not participate in breakfast due to our daily plans, but it smelt good and the other guests seemed to enjoy it. ”
