  • Summary:

    Gulfview II, Unit 604 sits on the 6th floor at 130 Padre Blvd with private beach access, an Olympic-length pool that is a genuine rarity on this island, a heated hot tub, and a sightline to SpaceX Starbase from the 6th floor common area. One bedroom, one bath, up to 6 guests, fully remodeled kitchen with granite countertops, and a brand-new walk-in tile shower. If a launch is on the schedule during your stay, you already have one of the best seats on South Padre Island.



    The Space:

    The kitchen remodel is the real deal — granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and an open-concept layout that flows right into the living room. Both an eat-in breakfast counter that is perfect if you have to knock out some work, and a full dining table give the group room to spread out for a real meal. Smart TVs are throughout the condo and log in to your own streaming accounts when you're ready to wind down.



    The brand-new walk-in all-tile shower with heavy glass door was just finished and is a noticeable step up from what you'll find in most units at this price point on the island. Up on the 6th floor you get real elevation, actual airflow off the Gulf, and a private unit patio with a partial view — a solid way to start the morning with coffee before the beach day begins. The building has an elevator, so no hauling gear up stairs. Community laundry is on-site as well.



    Starter supplies provided: fresh, crisp linens, bath towels, face and hand towels, soaps, shampoos, dishwasher pods, coffee, filters, creamer, and sweetener — not restocked during your stay, so plan to grab more if needed. Beach towels are not provided; bring your own. All standard beds come dressed in fresh linens and comforters. If you use the airbed, please remember to bring your own bedding for it.

    SLEEPING (Up to 6 Guests)

    Bedroom: two double beds — this unit is at its best with four guests. A double-sized airbed with pump is provided for up to two additional guests such as likely kids, bringing the maximum to six. The 6-guest maximum includes infants and children.



    PARKING

    A small drawback here is there is just one assigned off-street free parking space included — free, unlike hotels on the island that charge per car. If your group arrives in more than one vehicle, the Island Transit Center nearby usually has free overflow parking, and the Post Office lot (about 3 miles away) is a backup option. No pets.



    SPRING BREAK

    During spring break — roughly 10 days in March — the Gulfview II HOA here charges a $25 per person wristband fee, payable before arrival or in cash to security on-site when you arrive. Outside that window, there are no wristband fees and no deposits required. Compared to many complexes on the island, this is a genuine advantage as its sister building Gulfview I charges for both parking permit and wristbands year round.



    NEIGHBORHOOD

    You are on the quiet, laid-back southern end of the island — home to some of the best food on South Padre that most visitors never find. Right at Sea Ranch Marina, 350 yards from the front door, are three restaurants locals keep going back to: Sea Ranch for casual-elegant waterfront dining with Gulf seafood and a lively bar that tends to run longer than planned; Mahi Nics for open-air marina with the best fish tacos on SPI - as most locals will tell you - and Dirty Al's, where they run their own shrimp boats so nothing is ever frozen — the best fried shrimp in Texas, and we will stand behind that claim.



    The beachfront restaurant at the Holiday Inn Beach Resort is close by, and a short walk north on the sand takes you to Landshark Grill at the Margaritaville Resort, open to the public. About a mile and a half out, the 410 Plaza rounds things out: Tropical Smoothie Café, Johnny Rockets, Calacas Street Tacos, Kohnami Sushi & Japanese, and Russo's Family Italian for when the group can never agree.



    Please note we have multiple units and can rent you more than one. Inquire — we would love to help you out! It is just important to know that Gulfview is not a new complex and outside view and grounds does have a dated feel. We do not want to disappoint anyone - it is accordingly priced.



    High-speed WiFi is included throughout the condo; please note that Spectrum service can be spotty at times, so come prepared with a hotspot on your phone if you have must-do work as it can go down.

    POLICIES

    Primary guest must be 23 or older. Guests under 23 require prior approval before booking and a substantial additional refundable damage deposit, if approved at all. A signed digital rental agreement and valid photo ID are required before check-in.

    You must read and agree to all house rules prior to booking — we are happy to answer any questions before you arrive. Strict cancellation policy applies. No smoking, no parties, no loud music at any time. The property is security patrolled at all times.

    Guest Access:

    You will have complete private access to our sixth floor vacation home, which features a remodeled kitchen, a comfortable living room, and a private balcony with partial Gulf views. During your stay, you are free to use all building amenities, such as the large Olympic length pool and the heated hot tub. The complex also offers tennis courts, community laundry facilities, and charcoal grills for guest use. The beach is easily accessible via a short walk of about two hundred yards. We provide one assigned parking space on the premises for your convenience.



    The Neighborhood:

    Experience the peaceful side of South Padre Island while staying in our conveniently located condo on the southern end of the island. You will enjoy being just a quick two hundred yard stroll from the beautiful beach. The neighborhood is a hidden gem for food lovers, with the Sea Ranch Marina located just three hundred and fifty yards from your door. Here you can enjoy waterfront dining at Sea Ranch, the best fish tacos on the island at Mahi Nics, or fresh fried shrimp at Dirty Als. For even more variety, a short trip of about one and a half miles brings you to the 410 Plaza, which offers a wide selection of dining choices ranging from Japanese sushi to family style Italian, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy.



    Getting Around:

    Getting around South Padre Island is easy and convenient. Your stay includes one assigned off-street parking space right at the complex. If you are traveling with more than one vehicle, you can utilize the Island Transit Center nearby, which typically offers free overflow parking, or the public parking lot at the local post office located about three miles away. Please note that golf carts are considered vehicles under our parking policy. For those arriving by air, the island is easily accessible from major regional airports, and once here, the local transit system provides a stress-free way to explore the area.



    Other Things to Note:

    Important details for your stay. Check in time is 3 pm and check out time is 11 am. The primary guest must be 23 years or older. A signed digital rental agreement and a copy of your photo identification are required prior to arrival to maintain our city license. You will receive your door access code by text message on the day of your arrival. Please note that the building is not new and has a dated feel. We provide a starter supply of toiletries and paper products which are not replenished during your stay. Beach towels are not provided. One assigned parking space is included and golf carts count as a vehicle. Pets are strictly prohibited. Smoking parties and loud music are not permitted at any time. Quiet hours are observed from 10 pm to 9 am. During March there is a per person wristband fee required by the homeowners association for guests between 10 and 35 years of age. At check out please set the thermostat to 78 degrees start the dishwasher and remove all trash to the dumpster to avoid additional cleaning fees.
