“We needed a linebacker to open the door, as the door jamb was warped. Once inside, our room was quite clean and comfortable. There was a table with 2 chairs, which was a nice surprise, in addition to a desk chair. In addition to a mini fridge/freezer, there was a 4-cup coffee maker-Nice! Beds were extremely comfortable and clean. The a/c unit functioned well. Decent counter space by sink. There is no breakfast but literally next door is the American Cafe, which is Excellent! “The breakfast was nice and included. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean, but the property is showing its age. The price seems high given the overall quality, but options are limited in Spencer and likely as good as you will find.”

“Upon check in there was a sign at the front desk to let guests know that the pool and hot tub were not working. There was no indication when it would be reopening and it did not open during the two night weekend stay that I was there. The in room TV did not work, either. Staff did not replace it although they weee notified. Not sure what the problem was. There were literally four cars in the parking lot the entire stay. This hotel is under new ownership. “I LIKED HOW QUIET THE MOTEL WAS AT NIGHT. I DID NOT HERE ANY SOUNDS FROM THE OTHER ROOMS NEARBY.THE STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY. SORRY I DID NOT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE BREAKFAST. THE SHOPS AROUND THE MOTEL WERE VERY PLENTIFUL, IT WAS HARD TO DECIDE WHICH RESTAURANT TO GO TO.”

“I really liked the helpful staff. Very accommodating. The room was large enough for us and our pups. It did have a little damp smell to it. We were minutes from everything we wanted to see and do.”

“Just a fun place. Games and fire pits on the lawn. Even the wifi code is kinda fun. My wife and I try to stay here whenever we go to Okoboji.”
