“A great heritage place to stay for a few days of exploring Alleppy, beaches and the backwaters, located across a local road by the massive beach. Hotel is a lovely well maintained old traditional building with a swimming pool and restaurant. “We enjoyed Backwater Resort very much. We stayed 1 evening before an overnight houseboat trip. We enjoyed the resort so much we returned for another day just relaxing. The staff are all super accommodating and everyone greets you in passing. 5 star service. The rooms are done very well with real wood furnishing. It is isolated from the city but so quiet and relaxing. Finally, great lake views.”

“OMG what a wonderful trip/adventure. The boat cruised around the back waters for about 4 hours. First before we cruised they served us a wonderful lunch. Then while cruising we stopped at a fish market to buy us whatever we wanted to eat for dinner. I bought 6 giant prawns that they cooked up for me in addition to the other chicken dish we had for dinner. Delish!! Vacation time well spent.”
