The property is in a great location with a lot of charm. I love the exposed stone walls and the lobby area. It's a little worn down in some places and could do with a bit of an update. I don't love the fact that the temperature for each room is controlled by the hotel - meaning you can't make it warmer or cooler in your own room. It was 77 in my room and rather uncomfortable. They don't let you open the windows, so there was no way to make it cooler. The staff told me the A/C wasn't on, but they turned the heat off. I wish they would have just sucked it up and turned on the A/C to the rooms because the hallway was much cooler and I could hear the A/C blowing. Overall, it was a good stay, albeit a little sweaty at night.
