The Space:

MainSail sits on the quiet canal cul-de-sac of St Huberts Island — a north-facing sanctuary where the light plays on the water from morning until evening and the only sounds are birdlife and the gentle lap of the canal against the jetty below. Recently transformed with a high-end designer renovation, this three-bedroom home for six guests combines genuine style with a setting so calm and beautiful that guests consistently say it's the best version of a holiday they've ever had. What We Love



The Private Jetty:

Step down from the grassed yard and the private jetty extends directly into the canal — your own dock to fish from, kayak from, watch birdlife from at sunrise, or simply sit on with a glass of wine as the light changes over the water. It is the most distinctive feature in the portfolio and the thing guests remember longest after they leave. There is nothing else like it.



The Water Views:

Wide water views from a north-facing position mean the canal is lit from morning to evening — early light on the water with your first coffee, golden hour from the deck before dinner, and canal reflections shimmering in the dark from the fire pit at night. Multiple rooms, the pool area, the deck, and the jetty all face the water. The experience of being on the canal isn't a moment — it's the entire stay.



The Pool & Fire Pit:

The Location:

St Huberts Island is a quiet, secluded residential island on the Central Coast — connected to the mainland by a single bridge, surrounded by the calm waters of Brisbane Water, and just a short drive from some of the region's most beautiful destinations. Killcare Beach and Pearl Beach are minutes away for surf and swimming. Ettalong Beach's café strip and ferry to Palm Beach are close by. Brisbane Water National Park is on the doorstep for coastal walks and bushland. Sydney is 90 minutes away — and feels considerably further once you cross the bridge onto the island.



The Seasons:

MainSail has no off-season — only a different reason to come back. Summer means pool days, jetty afternoons, and long deck dinners as the canal turns gold in the last light. The school holidays fill fast, and the jetty is rarely without someone fishing or watching the birdlife from the edge. Autumn brings a stillness to the island that summer visitors never see — the water quieter, the birdlife bolder, the fire pit coming into daily use.

It has a quiet, community-focused feel while still offering scenic views and a strong sense of privacy.



Despite its tranquil atmosphere, St Huberts Island is very conveniently located. It’s just minutes from local shops, cafés, schools, beaches, and major transport links, including the M1 to Sydney and Newcastle. Nearby destinations like Ettalong Beach, Umina Beach, and Woy Woy provide dining, ferry access, and coastal activities, making St Huberts Island an ideal blend of calm island living and everyday convenience.



Other Things to Note:

Coast Hosting is a professional hosting company and will ask you to provide a digital copy of your ID prior to arrival. These details are required via a secure, online Guest Check in Form and the details are stored safely.



We also require a refundable security bond of $1,000, which will be held for the duration of your stay to cover any potential damages. This will be released within 7 days after your departure, provided there are no issues.

You will be asked to provide your card details via the same secure online check-in form. These details are encrypted and securely processed through the Stripe payment gateway.
