“Unfortunately we were unable to stay at the Longship. We arrived after our concert to a closed pub. In the write up it states check in after 2pm with no end time, it also states to communicate with the property for late check in to arrange access no one responded. Please change the wording in the advert to explain better checking in only in pub hours.”

“It's a very nice hotel with plenty of charm and a really nice location. Cruise ships and other large ships come right past and it's not far of a walk to the main beach area and Pleasure Beach and was nice and quiet for our stay. Hard to fault the hotel in general. Breakfast was very nice as well. Staff were friendly. The rooms were roomy and looked nice but unfortunately the pieces didn't add up to what I had hoped for. It was a hot weekend and fortunately quiet so we could have the window...

The experience was disappointing from arrival: waited ~15 minutes outside due to lack of staff support and found access confusing with multiple locks. The listing was misleading—what I expected to be a self-contained apartment had key facilities (sofas/TV) in a communal area, and the room itself was very small. The shower was lukewarm and the holder broken, so it had to be handheld. The bed was too small for a 6-ft adult....

“Clean room and pretty spacious. Good breakfast and breakfast staff. Reason for the low score was one of the managers had a poor manner about them. My wife mentioned it to me when she was trying to check in half and hour early and I didn’t believe her but I witnessed it when I was checking out. At check out we asked if we could store a small cabin bag so we could go for a walk along the front but we were told the bag storage area was full. Really? If true then you need a bigger storage...
