“Think 1960s guest house at the seaside. Cosmetically pleasing. Bed soft and clean but tidy looking behind the initial glance. Worn out, damp/smoke residue where it has soaked in walls over the years. Lots of chips in furniture. Plasterboard smashed in annex and falling off wall Two in a room one packet of biscuits. When we went to switch TV on layers of dust behind it. Grout coming away and missing in shower. Towels thin and harsh. Wish we had chosen a premier inn for night same cost better...

“As regular customers of Dakota Leeds, Manchester and Edinburgh we had been looking forward to staying at Dakota Newcastle to celebrate our anniversary. Unfortunately the room we booked didn’t live up to expectations with flat lumpy pillows and a broken curtain that wouldn’t close fully, letting light into the room from 6.40am which woke us up early and meant we didn’t get the relaxing lie in we had hoped for whilst away. Car park is free and always had spaces. Great location for the sea front. We had hreakfast off-site so can't comment on that. ”
