This townhouse is in need of some maintenance, and while these things (broken doors, missing wheels on dishwasher rack, yucky walls/grout) didn't negatively impact our stay all that much, it was discouraging for the price we paid for this unit. Upon arrival, the maintenance man yelled out our lock code from the parking lot as I was trying to locate the unit. The gate to this community was never shut/locked, nor guarded. There was never anyone present to turn in our guest registration form. 2 prior guests had left their forms on the table, so we had access to their personal information. Previous guests had also left their instructions on the dining room table and it quickly became apparent that the lock code NEVER changes. Day 2, we arrived back to our unit to find our door was unlocked; and we double checked that it was locked when we left. 9:15 PM that night, a couple knocked on our door and informed us that they had been inside of our unit earlier that day and were looking for a bag they had misplaced. They said they were actually staying in the unit next door but had been given the code to our place first; said they left when they realized people were already staying there. When I messaged John, he semi-accused us of having let them in then claimed it was probably just the previous guests. We know for a fact that it was not. But this goes back to the fact that the lock code is NEVER changed, which is a HUGE SECURITY CONCERN! There's also no locks on the balcony doors.
