“I didint like that my room did not have an AC and the bathroom was a bit dirty other than that it was really nice resort and staff was really friendly”

“Blue jay lodge is close to all of South Lake tahoes big areas, but still on a quiet strip. They do give you tickets for $5 off if you want to go to the private beach which is 3 min drive. We enjoyed our stay. There was a few cons: 1) there is no attendant there so everything is done online including room key and we kept getting messages (about 4-5) over our 1 night stay. 2) rooms walls are extremely thin. We could hear every conversation of couple next door, just as a warning. 3) check in is at...

“It is pretty close to beach and Village. Staff was really helpful.”

“Not really much to say other than this should be a last resort stay. Stain on the sheets, no soap or any body wash / shampoo. Our room looked like it had been cleaned with minimal effort which is kinda crazy since there were 2 cars in the parking lot…. Respectfully I would avoid this place.”

“The check in was pretty a chaos cause my expedia account didn't approve my card, luckily the receptionist still let me check in. Also there was no phone in the rooms so if you had a question, you had to go all the way to the front lobby to get your questions answered, not sure why they don't have a phone in the rooms. Our ac in our room also wasn't really working that well. Room 212 , I believe.”

“We had a fantastic stay at Black Bear Lodge. The lodge is absolutely beautiful, with a stunning wooden interior that gives it a real mountain lodge feel. It was incredibly peaceful and the perfect place to relax and unwind. The location was ideal too, tucked away in a quiet setting but only a short drive from local shops, restaurants and other amenities. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.”

“Clean room , a bit dated. Basically as we checked in an hour early , they were going to charge us by the hour or pay the upgrade to the higher floor which was a better option for us. Not an ideal way to Nickel and dime customers when adequate rooms are available. Good views from the 20th floor, as we faced the lake. Convenient location , restaurants in drivable range and some walkable. Onsite restaurant with food options , adequate parking at a cost, Gas stations nearby.”

“The room that we got was next to the elevator and it was pretty loud we could not sleep at all.”

“The communication was excellent. Even though there is no front desk or in-person check-in, help is there and their response is immediate. The property is updated and well maintained. It’s an excellent location for South Lake Tahoe.”

“Location was perfect. Everything within walking distance to shops and restaurants. We booked for one night and we did have an issue in our room. But stuff were able to work with us and that made us to decided to stay one more night. We ended up liking more the 2 room we got, even though it was smaller but it has access to the pool from our room. It was perfect! Looking forward to stay there when we travel again to Lake Tahoe!”

“Great resort - recently upgraded from Embassy Suites! Proptery is great. Cost is high with resort fee + parking adding almost $100 daily! Breakfast is very expensive at $60+ for a couple - not worth it. Otherwise good location, rooms and facilities.”
