“The parking was good, well lit and off road. The place was clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. The food was good and hearty. There was no aircon but a good fan. The room was warm as it was cold outside. And it was value for money.”

“Very handy for the A1. Lots of parking as at the services. Room basic but clean and everything needed. Reception staff friendly and helpful.”

“Lovely old historic Inn. Rooms traditionally furnished and had some nice welcoming touches. Bar was very cozy. Staff very welcoming. Breakfast freshly cooked. No lift but staff kindly helped us to the top floor with our bags. Our daughter stayed in a ground floor garden room overlooking the beer garden which was also very nicely furnished. Menu looked great but we ate in the Indian restaurant directly opposite which was also excellent. Will stay here again when passing through.”

“On the whole enjoyed our one night stay. Property is lovely and our ground floor room was clean and warm. Only downside was black mold on the shower tray edge but the power shower was awesome.The breakfast room is nicely decorated and the food on offer was of excellent quality and well cooked.goos continental selection. Overall it is a lovely hotel and we would stay again.”

“We all loved staying at the hotel, it was clean and great relaxed atmosphere. We stayed in a suite and whilst it was lovely and big and clean a few things needed attention! Door handle on toilet door was half hanging off, toilet flush was loose and the jacuzzi bath plug never worked, so therefore the water kept emptying away. Balcony could have done with a clean too. The only other problem is the hotel does not really cater for people that are gluten free! Could not have sausages, Hash browns at...

“A charming hotel in a very picturesque place. The room spacious and comfortable. I appreciated the classical music from the radio and the lights on when we entered the room on our arrival. A nice touch!”
