“The room and facilities were good though the bathroom has a window grill open to outside so was freezing cold at night, to cold to stay in for a shower etc. We ate at the restaurant, the steak was amazing, perfectly cooked but and they didn't deliver to the table any of the sides we had ordered so we had steaks, no potatos, no veggies, and some how we were charged $29 for what we are pretty sure was a $17 glass of wine. “It is a nice lovely old hotel. However needs to be renovated and I don’t think it’s worth the costs. Some staff were not friendly or helpful. The road noise was terrible and the noise from the train tracks that are right near the hotel were also an issue.”

“What a wonderful location close to the Rail Station which has the old world feel about it. Walk to the local hotel which has a lovely ambience.The grounds are immaculate, the interior charming and welcoming with two outdoor seating areas close to the home and others scattered amongst the gardens. I would definitely recommend it as a respite from busy living and an introduction to all this unique region has to offer.”

“Good value for money. Whilst close to the Great Western Highway and train line didn’t really notice it. Walkable distance into Blackheath shops. Very comfortable bed. You won’t speak to any staff at all, self service and checkout through lock box.There is some basic self service breakfast if you want to eat in with cereal, juice and bread.
