“A very cool/reserved welcome. Check-in seems like an effort. Quickly settled and sat outside for a drink - went inside because the language was disgusting. The swearing inside was no better and neither was the misogynistic comments from the senior members. Good place to stay but let down by the clientele”

“Rooms were very clean, quiet and comfortable. Food at the pub was the best we had during 2 weeks in Wales. Staff was helpful, friendly, and very accomodating. Highly recommend this place as convient to the Cardiff airport and very comfortable.”

“Lovely clean rooms set in a lovely hotel with beautiful surroundings. Carpark had plenty of space. The pub/restaurant was fantastic. One of the best steaks I’ve had.
I was impressed by the wine list as it had plenty of choice of fantastic wines.
Only downside was they stopped serving drinks at 10pm. Much too early to shut shop after you’ve been in the restaurant all evening.
Other than that, we were satisfied.”

“On arrival we were informed to dine within 8:30 p.m. and once sit at the restaurant (at approx 7:35 p.m.) we were informed that nothing on the menu, except for what displayed under "sunday roast", which included about 3 starters and 3 mains, would have been served. If we were told before we would have chosen a different dining location.
My daughter and I are allergic to oils and asked for a plain salad with 2 boiled eggs and were told that they couldn't make it as the boiling process takes to...

Restaurant was excellent with a good selection of food and drinks.
The staff made you feel welcome.

“Beautiful surroundings with an outside terrace overlooking a small lake, quiet. Staff very courteous and helpful.
Grounds could do with a bit of tidying, cigarette stubs everywhere.
Sink in bathroom problematic for shorter people, needed to stretch over the counter to use it, tap also very stiff to use and leaking.
Enjoyed our stay very much and would stay there again.”

“The B&B is definitely the best in my experience. Bedroom as well as bathroom are very clean and tidy. The paper folders in bathroom is antique-wise. “I had a great stay at this hotel for the night.
Very clean, comfortable beds. Clean shower. Could connect to the TV to watch the likes of YouTube or watch normal channels. Room service, although I didn't use this. A lovely restaurant with lovely food..and the staff were fantastic. Even checked me in an hour early.
Thank you so much for a lovely stay and I highly recommend booking.”

“I booked in for one night to go to a local event. The room was clean enough for an overnight stay.
The staff left a fan in the room which was handy with how warm the night time was.
