Il nostro cottage sulla spiaggia sul lungomare si trova su una scogliera che si affaccia sul fiume James e sull'Isola di Jamestown, a pochi passi dalla tua spiaggia privata. Avrai la privacy di un cottage e sarai direttamente dall'altra parte del fiume rispetto a Jamestown e Williamsburg. Puoi vedere Jamestown dal cottage.

Il fiume James qui al cottage è acqua di marea ed è pulito. La marea entra ed esce molto lentamente, quindi è fantastico per i bambini che giocano. È in parte salato e in parte d'acqua dolce. Non c'è un drop-off.

Avrai privacy qui. Non ci sono case dietro il cottage. Il casolare si trova su una corsia di 0. 4 miglia quindi non c'è rumore del traffico. Gli altri cottage sono utilizzati dai proprietari, soprattutto nei fine settimana.

Guarda albe spettacolari sul fiume dal ponte o dalla veranda anteriore climatizzata / riscaldata. Dopo aver trascorso la giornata a Jamestown, Williamsburg, Yorktown, Busch Gardens, Water Country o alcune delle altre attrazioni che Virginia ha da offrire, torna a rilassarti sulla "rivah" nella privacy del tuo cottage. A volte solo guardare aquile e falchi pescatori pescare, giocare sulla spiaggia o nel fiume o andare in kayak è proprio quello che serve dopo una giornata intensa. Oppure puoi passare un'intera giornata a divertirti sulla rivah!

La vista sul fiume è spalancata (a circa un miglio a sinistra si trova il Molo dei traghetti Jamestown-Scozia ea destra è Cobham Bay).

Il traghetto gratuito per auto appartiene al dipartimento dei trasporti di VA e funziona 24 ore al giorno. Quando atterrate a Jamestown, Williamsburg si trova a 4 miglia lungo la strada (circa 5 minuti) e ci vogliono circa 15 minuti per arrivare a Busch Gardens. Yorktown è un po 'oltre Williamsburg. Il molo dei traghetti su questo lato si trova a un miglio dal cottage.

Sono disponibili due kayak, una canoa e giubbotti di salvataggio per adulti e bambini. Sono inoltre disponibili sedie a sdraio, ombrellone, refrigeratore e teli mare.

Biancheria, caffettiera (con filtri, caffè, zucchero, crema), stoviglie, argenteria, bicchieri, pentole, utensili da cucina, piatti e tazze di carta, asciugamani di carta, carta igienica, tovaglioli, fogli di alluminio, involucro di plastica, buste, olio da cucina, spezie di base, sapone, sapone per le mani, detersivo per piatti, asciugamani, strofinacci e panni, marea, fogli asciugatrice e sacchi per la spazzatura sono forniti.

Il bagno ha una doccia walk-in. Sono forniti asciugacapelli, asciugamani, panni per lavare, sapone, shampoo, sapone per le mani, carta igienica e kit di pronto soccorso.

Nel cortile c'è una griglia a gas pronta per il barbecue.

La zona giorno ha una TV satellitare (DIRECTV) e un lettore DVD. MLB Extra Innings è fornito per gli appassionati di baseball!

Tutte le camere sono dotate di biancheria da letto (letti fatti), coperta extra, un orologio e una torcia. Una camera ha un lettore DVD. DVD, libri e giochi da tavolo sono forniti.

The house was exactly as listed. Very clean and well maintained. We loved the decor. Linda and AC were great hosts. The house had everything we needed - kayaks, paddle board, board games, books and even DVDs :)It’s close to the Ferry and we had a great time!

The James River cottage is a quiet and peacful escape. The view of the river is very beautiful and relaxing. The cottage is very clean and neat with a great deck over looking the river. Its very comfortable for the three of us, and the location is perfect for visiting Jamestown, Williamsburg, and Yorktown. We hope to return someday.

This cottage is a gem! The hosts are accessible, quick to reply to any questions. Having beach chairs, kayaks and the paddle board on the beach was very convenient. Searching for the perfect sea shell was fun. We loved taking the ferry over to Jamestown/Williamsburg, it is very easy to navigate. It is hard to leave this little slice of paradise. Thank you to our wonderful hosts!

Sunrise breakfast on the enclosed porch and wine down on the deck in the evening. Plenty of bird watching, especially a bald eagle that patrols the shoreline regularly. Enjoy a peaceful quiet out of the way setting while the Jamestown ferry's ( 5 min. drive/ free) drive on drive off access makes it easy to get to Virginia's Historic Triangle (Jamestown, Williamsburg and Yorktown). Take a day trip to Virginia Beach (1 1/2 hr.) and don't miss Norfolk's downtown Waterside District. The house is very clean and well stocked. The owners are great and easy to access if needed. We really enjoyed our stay and hopefully will return again soon.

My husband and I stayed here without three children who ranged from 10 to 16 years old. The house had everything we needed and We love the view. The walk up and down from the beach was tough but we knew to expect it because it was shown in the pictures. We enjoyed how close it was to the ferry for Jamestown and enjoy the quietness of the area. Our only disappointment was not knowing that the river was shallow in this area. So despite going very far off shore, we were never much deeper than waist high. However, we made the best of it and my kids still had a great time. They used the paddleboard and the kayaks and really loved swimming in the water . We do advise that you wear water shoes as the first few feet of shoreline have a lot of shells and you are at risk of cutting your feet (My daughter’s shoe fell off and she did get a cut from a shell). We very much enjoyed our stay and the hosts were very responsive to any questions we had. If you are looking for a quiet place to go, this is a really great place for the money!

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The owners really thought of everything we would need. My children enjoyed the extra fluffy blankets in the closet in each room. The kitchen was well stocked with all the items we needed to make a few meals in the house. There were games, puzzles, and books for rainy days. The view was gorgeous. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets and rises. For those going to Williamsburg or Busch Gardens make sure to account for the ferry ride in your travel time. We found we needed to add about a 1/2 hour to drive times. The ferry was a very unique experience. We got to watch a baby osprey being rescued by a kayaker while on the ferry.

Cottage très propre et bien confortable avec tout ce dont nous avions besoin. Une vue fabuleuse sur le fleuve, une plage privée, un calme absolu, des balbuzards pêcheurs comme spectacle journalier.... Seuls points négatifs: salle de bain/ toilette vraiment petite, par contre fonctionnant très bien. Et les lits faisaient 130 cm de large( après vérification!)... Un peu étroit pour des couples. Malgré cela, nous avons passé une très bonne semaine, vraiment ressourçante et dépaysante!

We thoroughly enjoyed this cottage. The location and scenery was wonderful. We rode the ferry to Williamsburg for dining and sight seeing. It was only a three day weekend trip but it totally revitalized us. LOVE...LOVE...LOVE this place.

If you like a beautiful water view, this is a wonderful place to stay! Even though the cottage is older, it is well-maintained and the owners have thought of everything needed to make your stay comfortable. The house was impressively clean too. We enjoyed every minute, even every trip across the river on the ferry! (I was concerned it would get old, but it did not.) Definitely bring water shoes of some sort for the beach as there are many shells. We saw deer several times and two eagles. It is a very peaceful location and A.C. and Linda are wonderful hosts. We hope to be back.

We have visited Williamsburg on many occasions, but have never stayed on this side of the river. We enjoyed the quiet mornings and surrounding nature. The river side cottage location was so peaceful. My family greatly enjoyed the fishing and water sports. The ferry made getting to and from Williamsburg very easy and fun. It is 40-50 minutes point to point (cottage to Busch gardens) depending on if you time to ferry right and traffic. We loved visiting the small town of Smithfield! The house was well maintained, very clean, and the owners responsive! Will definitely consider staying again.

This is a cute old cottage that has obviously been well cared for over the years. It is in the perfect location for both relaxing on the beach and visiting Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown, Busch Gardens and Water Country. We had a great time kayaking, fishing, searching for shark teeth, swimming and watching the bald eagles and osprey. The enclosed, air conditioned porch was wonderful! On rainy days my kids enjoyed all the puzzles and Williamsburg-opoly. A.C. and Linda were so helpful - if we had any trouble they came to help within minutes! One night the grill wouldn’t light so A.C. came with a lighter - problem solved, or so we thought! He was back about 30 min later with a new grill! One word of advice - bring water shoes! We made good use of the first aid kit we found in the bathroom after the kids cut their feet on shells multiple times.

We absolutely adored our time in this beachfront cottage. The views are stunning, with unforgettable sun rises over the river and so many beautiful birds including bald eagles to view from the deck. The little private beach was perfect with kayaks, chairs, and an umbrella there for us to use! We loved the calm water and hunting for seashells... we even caught and released a few fish which was exciting! We loved the local restaurants, and the girls were so excited to experience the ferry over to Jamestown/Williamsburg and the water park! The hosts were very communicative and the place was extremely clean with tons of amenities that made us feel right at home... right down to a stack of beach towels and a little bag to take to the beach! We hope to come back to experience this delightful cottage in Surry County VA again and again. Thank you!!!

This cottage has to be the CLEANEST place we have ever stayed. The cottage was secluded, quiet, and quaint. It had a lovely closed in porch with a picnic table and plenty of seating. Plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was very well equipped; I had brought some things from my kitchen and didn't need any of it. I really enjoyed the books on Surry on the mantle; they were very interesting. WOULD DEFINITELY STAY THERE AGAIN! Thank you!
