“Loved the two days we spent here. Very good home-cooked breakfast, nice rustic cozy room with fireplace, two person jacuzzi. Just a very nice overall experience. The host is very friendly and informative.”

“The room was clean and maintained. The owners left a number to call for checking in, while I stood outside in the sun. The property looked rough, it had poison ivy growing out onto the parking lot.”

“Hotel is very clean and the staff is super friendly. We were unable to use the indoor pool because of the number of teenagers there. No big deal to us, but be aware that there are many baseball and softball tournaments in this area all summer long.”

“Room was clean and quiet. Good rest. Breakfast was a little lacking so I hit the Waffle House. Staff was very helpful when I couldn’t get into the first room assigned because of a dead battery in the door. I would stay again simply for the peace and quiet.”

“The building definitely needed the outside maintained….at least a coat of paint over the peeling paint and weeds cut down. The inside was pretty good though. The room was ok but there a strange man lurking around and was watching us go in our room around a corner then followed me outside when I went to get something out of our car. Didn’t feel safe.”

“It’s obvious the lack of competition for hotel chains is one of the reasons why this (and other properties) aren’t upgrading or even moderately maintaining their properties. While the staff were very nice, the hotel and rooms felt old, dated, threadbare and in need of renovation. Brown County is stunning … but its hotels leave a lot to be desired.”

“If you're simply looking for a safe, comfortable, good night's sleep, this is the place! Most comfortable beds and bedding, quality air conditioning and sound proof walls. Decent breakfast, skip the pool, enjoy the exercise room. Friendly staff, easy in and out off interstate. Plenty dining options nearby.”

“I like that the bed was comfortable and it was close to everything. The staff was pleasant when checking in and out. The outside was rough, looks like possibly remodeling, a toilet was outside in front of a room. The inside was outdated, painted chipped off the walls not outlets, the one we could use sparked when you plugged something into it. The TV kept freezing up during the program. It definitely needs to be updated badly. We only stayed one night but the price was okay just to sleep for the...

“This was a very nice room, and we would stay again. The bed was comfortable, and there was room to relax. The only complaint was that there were people, probably children, running around above us until late into the night. If we stayed again, I would request a room on the third (top) floor.”

“Totally enjoyed this hotel. Very convenient and clean and secure. Got a room right next to end doors so very easy going and coming. Only issue was the people above us for the first couple nights. A child kept running and jumping around and heavy walking but stopped around midnight so could have been worse.”

“This was our first time staying here and it was great overall. The room was clean. Breakfast was good. The kids enjoyed the pool. We did have to wait for towels for about an hour because they ran out of them, but that was really the only problem”
