“We stayed here as a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids aged 11 & 7) for 4 nights. It was a very enjoyable place to stay, within walking distance of everything Masham has to offer - and the Co-op was incredibly close! The twin room upstairs doesn't have a door so noise travels but once the kids were asleep it didn't affect them. We stayed during Feb, so the skylight in the main bedroom was not an issue for us. The lounge, bathroom (shower only) and kitchen were all modern / nicely done.”

“check in is in another pub in town. the white bear is quite run down, the rooms are clean but the plumbing, toilets showers are incredibly noisy ( using them during the night would wake everyone up king of noisy) and do smell a bit. if there was anywhere else to stay we would have done and at £133 it was incredibly poor value”

“I was a walker arriving at the Nag's Head at 15.30. I was warmly received and shown to my very comfortable room. Although the restaurant was closed on a Tuesday evening, i was provided with a wonderful Chinese meal at a very modest cost. I requested a continental breakfast which was fine. Pick Hill is a lovely small village with a long history, some of which is displayed in the ancient church. ”

“Nice room but outside balcony was covered in cobwebs and leaves. Couldn't find a way to turn the heating down and was way too warm in the room. Only one balcony door would open ”

“Lovely hotel for exploring Yorkshire: rooms were comfortable, staff were lovely, and the breakfast was exceptional. We ate in the bar, and the food was excellent - pricey, but no more so than the surrounding area. ”

“The one good thing about this place is the staff. In all other respects this was a very disappointing and unpleasant experience: We were unable to use the car park because of the white vans that were in the way. The room was not especially clean The ‘double’ bed in the room was tiny, barely able to accommodate two people and very uncomfortable No WiFi This place was not staffed overnight so when the fire alarm went off at 6AM no one turned it off and no one came to check on the...

“Best location! Loved it here. Perhaps tho for guests staying longer, we had a week, more kitchen items and sharper knives would be a great addition. Highly recommend no.5”

“A comfortable cottage with all necessary amenities, including a wood burning stove and plenty fuel. Located in a small village near a friendly pub. Village shop is only open half days but Leyburn with a range of shops and places to eat is only 4 miles. Great area for walking”
