“Effingham is my typical stop when I travel for work. I used to stay at the LaQuinta across the street from this hotel, but it has really become ragged and worn down over the last two years. This hotel is much newer and their housekeeping team is doing a great job. Every time I stay here, my room is very clean, as is the lobby, parking lot, etc. The little details matter and they are on top of things. I appreciate that and will continue to be a regular customer.”

The staff was fabulous in checking in guests who were seeking shelter during the threat of a tornado as well as meeting their needs. They remained calm, collected, kind and caring throughout the evening! I was most impressed that they had two rooms available for shelter in the event that the tornado was spotted in the vicinity!”

“I had some very specific requests for room assignment at check-in and RAJ at the Front Desk was spectacular! He went through each point and ensured the room we got was absolutely the best available. All that was for the cheapest (and reasonably) priced room. As a result, we had a great, quiet and comfortable stay. I recommend requesting a room facing away from the very close highway. We didn’t hear a thing! ”

“It worked for a 6 hour stay just to get some sleep. A lamp didn’t work in my room, but honestly my biggest complaint was this automatic check in terminal. It felt unprofessional to not have a person there physically. Sure there was a person on the screen, but i couldn’t understand what she was saying due to the low volume and incredibly loud ice machine next to the kiosk. Not a horrible place to stay, especially just overnight. I’d stay there again, but the kiosk terminal just seemed...

The room was surface clean, but I dropped a pen and moved a side table. Dust and dirt stacked up. I found a box cutter under the table! The side chair has stains on it.
