Starting with the location, it was not far to walk to York centre (around 20 minutes or so). We stayed in the Samurai suite. The theming of the room was fantastic, right down to the sunken bath. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and it was evident that the owners had not scrimped on quality of the furnishings or bedding....

“The hotel was perfect.Friendly staff made it easy to check in and out after our stay. The food was really good and lots of it . The drinks in the bar were sensibly priced . Room was clean , tidy and ready on time . The mattress on the twin beds was a bit hard . But I suppose the hotel can’t cater for different people mattresses preferences.10 minutes walk into York which was good and when we ordered a taxi on the last night the drivers were brilliant and the fare was a good price 👍”
