“Beautiful apartment, had everything we needed for a one night stay and a close walk to city centre, would definitely stay again.”

“2rd stay at this hotel. Refused upgrade said not available. Had to argue for a 1 1/2 hour late checkout we did get a one hour late( why not give the extra 1/2 hour we asked for. No free parking mentioned. We never ate at this hotel too expensive. The bar is small and difficult to find a seat except spillover in hall. Bar staff were very nice but to busy to talk and drinks were crazy expensive. The bathroom sink only produced scalding hot water or cold.😡 For a five star we expected better...

“We stayed in the Bootham suite, the room was light and airy and had a lovely small balcony to enjoy the sunshine. The four poster bed was very comfy and there was a small seating area to relax in. Breakfast was very good, everything is a la carte and the staff were very attentive. The hotel is in a great location, very easy walking distance into York but also very quiet and peaceful. The Pantry is a really nice touch but it was a shame that there wasn't a fridge in the room to keep drinks cool....

“Bellissima casa in stile vittoriano, sicuramente non per gli amanti della modernità ma per chi adora calarsi nelle atmosfere vintage. La colazione, tipicamente inglese, nel suo genere è ottima. Il centro città può essere raggiunto facilmente a piedi, ma non manca la fermata del bus nelle vicinanze . Mi mancava solo Miss Marple!”

“Hotel bellino, ma non un 5 stelle... Il tappeto del bagno macchiato e il vetro della doccia nero nei bordi e, sempre in bagno, odore di umido. Camera molto piccola ma arredata molto bene e letto comodo. Colazione valida e buona. ”

“The room was very spacious and clean. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was delicious. The only issue I experienced was that the water in the bathroom was too hot and there was no way to make it cooler. Apart from this, everything was good.”
