“I've stayed in a number of B&Bs in the past. I like the homey atmosphere and delicious breakfasts they usually offer. I chose to stay at a B&B during my visit to Gettysburg expecting the same experience. I was greatly disappointed. Although I knew in advance that check in was self-service, I expected some type of welcome kit upon our arrival, making us feel at home. There was nothing and the information booklet in our room seemed more of a marketing tool for other Brickhouse offerings than...

“The Federal Pointe Inn of Gettysburg has so much history! It was originally constructed to be a school so the ceilings are extra high. The bedroom was spacious and the bathroom was large, but could have used better lighting. The bedrooms also lacked hooks for ease of hanging outer wear as the closet was located in the far end of the room away from the door. When we stayed, it was Easter Sunday so the restaurant and bar was closed, so we didn't get to enjoy restaurant/ bar, but we did walk...

“Very unique setup. Modern amenities. Bed was comfortable. No overnight housekeeping, so no coffee the next morning. Also, the corners lacked cleanliness. We had a huge cobweb and carpet corners were dusty. ”

“The lodge was very clean and offered all the amenities you would expect. The staff was friendly and the grounds were picturesque. I would highly recommend staying at the Lodges at Gettysburg.”

“I was surprised that the building was more of a motel than an Inn. It was an unusual setup where you enter from the rear on the second floor but check-in is on the first floor. It was rather dark on our side of the building but we were on the northeast side. The building could use an airing out, I found it to be stale and our room had a heavy perfume scent”
