“ 1. We had to spend a few hours before going to the airport and this was a perfect spot. 2. Driving-in is a little misleading as you hit a dead end on the ocean and a narrow left takes you to wide parking lot. Perfect location. 3. The land lady and staff are very nice. Room is very functional. Ocean view terrace is very useful specially when friends visit. 4. Complementary 24 hr drop to either airport is too good. Must stay.”

“This is a well kept small hotel set back into the jungle, about five minutes away from Trivandrum, with the sounds of native birds filling the air in the morning and evening. The rooms are comfortable, with beautiful tropical views, and the staff very accommodating.”

“Molto bella la posizione dell'hotel con vista sulla laguna e sul mare che pero' è impraticabile. L'hotel è suddiviso in due parti; una parte che comprende reception, alcune camere, centro ayurvedico e piscina ed una seconda parte che prevede altre camere, ristorante ayurvedico e tradizionale; queste due parti sono divise da un canale; e' pertanto necessario utilizzare la barca per trasferirsi da un complesso all'altro. L'efficienza del personale in generale non è il punto forte della struttura.”

“It was a one night stay before a flight. The check in was quick (but 2 forms to fill in!); the room spacious and comfortable with efficient cooling. The lift played Brahms’ lullaby. There is a small swimming pool which I enjoyed a couple of times, which seemed seldom used, but a real pleasure. It’s located off some main road and easy to get places. “Santa Maria is a beautiful gem located right on the ocean. The owners are very kind, thoughtful, and accommodating of their guests. It is very conveniently located near the airport (15 minutes by taxi) and many other attractions Kerala has to offer. “It's a fine place for an overnight stay if you have a long layover, or short term stay. My room was pretty small. Short walk to the ocean. I didn't like the dining options, but if you like beach food, there's plenty.”
