“Breakfast, and the staff in the breakfast area, were great. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful at check-in and every morning. The room was comfortable (the air conditioner was pretty loud when the compressor kicked in). The shower was great. The only problem was that housekeeping never came to clean or replenish the towels in the six days we stayed, even when we stopped by the front desk in the morning to inform them that we would be away for the day. “The staff is great. They must have kept my notes from a prior stay, they put me in a corner room/ top floor which was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. Bed linens impeccably clean. “We came to our room about 1:30am and there was no towels or wash cloths in room so that we can take a shower. My son went downstairs the next morning around 9 am and the lady said that they had no clean linens. How you didn’t have any the whole day before or the next morning. Did they check the rooms. So mad I had to go buy towels to wash”

“The Wi-Fi connection is terrible it would not hold a connection for longer than about 10 minutes and then would disconnect. The hot water is non-existent on the third floor - I let it run for more than 15 minutes and it still was barely lukewarm. The room was clean, but the hallways are dark and have a strange smell (maybe some type of cleaner). The bathroom tubs are not really practical for someone who needs assistance in and out of the shower - the grab bars are not in the right location or...

“Garbage strewn in the hall, also bins of garbage in hall, water leak in hall. Toilet seat not installed properly, broken shade stored in corner of room. No desk chair, linens dingy, hair in between sheets. Room in disrepair. Not to the standards of other Quaility Inns.”

“This is a spectacular little boutique hotel in downtown Norfolk. The location is great for walking to the theater and the water district. There’s dining everywhere. The biggest bonus is the glass art museum that’s included with your stay.”
