I've stayed in literally thousands of nights in hotels - hundreds in Hilton brands. This was by far the most disappointing stay of all. I'm not a terribly picky traveller, but when my family and stayed at this hotel while in town for a funeral, It landed at the top of my very short 'never go again' list. The only redeeming factor was the young man who checked my wife and I in - pleasant, fast and tremendously helpful in explaining how the app worked.
We were there for two nights. The eggs, bacon and sausage in the buffet breakfasts were cold. The "lemon-lime water" which sounded like a refreshing sugar-free option was just sweet lemonade. The water in the pool was cold. Not cool - but cold. When we came back from the celebration of life after the first night, we were surprised the room hadn't been serviced. When I called the front desk about hit, the man who answered just replied with "well, did you ask to have it serviced?" That stunned me, then he followed with, "It's Sunday and housekeeping has gone home anyway, so we can't do it until tomorrow..." I wasn't happy.
I hadn't made a huge fuss about things, although I was clear that I was disappointed. The next day, the man who had checked me in originally, made a point to apologize for the room service, but by then it was too late.
I hope this isn't Hilton's new standard of service.
