But my room was very small - barely enough room to walk around a single bed (and this for £110/night), bed was very uncomfortable and reception was never manned (I had to go and find staff 3 times). At 30% less price this would be fine, but at the price I paid I would not recommend.”

“Lovely, homely hotel just outside the town centre. Easy parking, lovely room and comfortable king bed. We booked the room with breakfast which was good value. Our room was on the second floor, which I didn’t see in the room description. The stairs are quite narrow on the tread, and steep, so if this is an issue check room location before confirming. Otherwise, an excellent place for a New Forest stay.”
