Walter the mule

The property was great. The owners were super nice. It was really fun seeing all the different horses, mules, pigs, cows, and calfs. It was a very private guest house on the back of the property very unique. Would recommend.

Ahhhh - quiet and beauty

I was back in Tucson for a wedding. The location was perfect - it was near my friend, near the location of the rehearsal dinner and not far from Tanqe Verde Ranch where the wedding was held. I loved watching all of the activity with the horses. And - the dogs - they made it a bit easier to be away from mine. The Casita was perfect for me. It was well equipped and extremely comfortable and provided me the peace and tranquility when I needed it.. I would definitely return

The best VRBO that we’ve had

Our stay was all that we could have asked for. The room was just as pictured, clean, private and comfortable. Julie was extremely accommodating and very easy to communicate with. We highly recommend this VRBO and hope that it’s available the next time we’re in Tucson.

Fantastic little getaway

Very relaxing setting, felt very safe. The dogs were sweet as can be which was nice because we were missing ours, but there was plenty of time when they were off doing their own thing. Great jumping off spot to explore the area. Was hoping for a “relax by the pool in the sun” trip, but Mother Nature had other ideas! Would have liked to visit with the hosts more, but we were up and out early & returning after dark. Perfect little VRBO👍👍

Who can turn down a big ol’ sloppy kiss?

To be clear, the kiss didn’t come unbidden, but it only took a quick wag of a tail and all hearts were melted. This place is a centrally located to any number of hiking trails requiring a very short drive. The casita is wonderful. Tastefully decorated, cozy, comfy, and we think it’s probably the cleanest and most well kept property we’ve ever stayed in. Perfect patio with outdoor seating so you can watch for birds, listen to coyotes and watch a few folks taking good care of their beautiful stabled horses. Reminded me of when my family would camp at rodeos, but without the party atmosphere. The grounds were well kept and clean. Private, secure, quiet.

Mark and Julie were very friendly and accommodating. Casita was clean cute and cozy! Area was secluded and quiet(coyotes off in the far distance were the exception) but 5 minutes from anything you could need. Will miss our buddies Max and Bristol!

Pleasant environment

The casita is located in the middle of the horse farm, but was still very quiet and peaceful. I enjoyed watching the activities from the patio in the morning and evening. Everything I needed was provided and Julie even took the time to introduce my daughter and me to the horses.

Homey & quiet

Great location for my week-long business trip during the gem shows. A bit of a drive from the gem show areas, but worth it for the private, gated, location. Easy access to the wash behind the property for early morning walks. Quiet, except for the animal noises you'd expect from a working horse farm in the foothills. Short drive to stores & Bear Canyon trail access trail (even doable for short evening walks before dusk). I'd happily use La Hacienda Chuparsoa again.

Nice casita, lovely location

The casita on a working horse ranch was all we needed as a base for our hike in nearby Sabino Canyon. The hosts were very nice and available. Would stay there again.

Wonderful little home on the range!

This is a cute, private, casita on a ranch with beautiful horses and scenery. The onsite owners are friendly and responsive whenever needed, They cheerfully went out of their way to provide for a special request. The surrounding property is peaceful and clean. I loved meeting the horses and Max the dog, too! Perfect!!

Desert Magic

Our stay was perfect ... surrounded by the beauty and serenity of the desert, yet close to restaurants and activities. Julie and Mark have the best customer service skills of any vacation rental hosts we have experienced in our many travels. The casita is well equipped and private ... and the horses are delightful "neighbors."

La Hasienda Chuparosa -- A comfortable and relaxing retreat

My wife and I stayed last week for five nights and had a wonderful time. The casita was very clean when we arrived. Hosts Julie and Mark welcomed us warmly; they were most gracious and accommodating. Staying on a horse ranch and watching the daily routines of caring for the horses was a new and surprisingly enjoyable experience. The property is located in an area that affords nature lovers with a wide range of hiking and sighteeing options and we appreciated Julie’s recommendations for things to do, particularly the drive up Mt. Lemon. We highly recommend La Hacienda Chuparosa to anyone looking for a quiet retreat in comfortable surroundings. Plus the scones were wonderful. Thank you from Bob and Marilyn.

Perfect for us

Julie and Mark were great hosts, researching golf courses for us, bringing us homemade scones on Sundays, and sharing their dog, Max, with us. It was fun being close to horses while also having easy access to nearby groceries, good coffee shops, and local birding spots. The casita is very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen, comfy bed and sofa, wifi, and Netflix.

Private getaway with nature

We stayed in the casita in the yard behind Julie and Marks home. Everything was so clean with drawers, dishes and lots of pots and pans in cupboards , linen, food so full of things we could use during our stay. We could see horses, several birds and their dog. We also ate the scrumptious scones Julie made us. All questions and info was communicated in person or by text immediately. Information about our casita was provided They told us some great places In the area. We needed to change our 4 day stay by sliding it backwards. They did so graciously. They also have several BnB bedrooms with breakfast . Next time in Tucson we a retired couple know who and where to stay --La Hacienda Chuparosa. Really close to Sabino Canyon and only 1/2 hour drive to Colossal Cave. Doreen &Ed
