“The check-in process was mediocre at best. We were uncharged $11 per child since they weren’t on the Expedia reservation. We asked for more pillows and they did end up being them but originally told us 4 people in room and 4 pillows saying there were no more in the hotel. Even though two of th pillows looked to be more decorative. Rooms are good. Beds okay. Shower is fine. Nothing special. Good location (close to mystery spot and the board walk and downtown). Will definitely be trying...

“You get what you pay for is what my husband said to me. I had to laugh because he was right. The staff was friendly though and tentative. So that was a plus. We checked in to our room and realized that the door doesn’t have the chain lock. So we felt weird and put a chair to block the door knob. Then I went to shower and the shower head wasn’t working. “So glad they have parking, but it is a tight squeeze. We had issues with check in and got in about 1.5 hours after check in time. The walls are really thin and you can hear every loud conversation and all the running around and furniture moving around you. The location is perfect and the staff is really nice and welcoming.”

“This hotel is a short drive to Monterey or even Santa cruz. It's not your average hotel where you wonder if the people are on vacation or if they're actually living there. It's right on the water which is near the Elkhorn Slough. You might see otters in the water and there are a variety of birds right outside of your window. The room was super cute. You have access to the shared kitchen and dining room in the house on the property. I will definitely be staying there again.”

“Sadly- things just didn’t go smoothly. Air conditioning in our room was not working- we were offered a fan the first day. However the next day I asked the maintenance guy himself and it was fixed in 2 minutes. Power went out in our room one morning from turning on the hair dryer. We were told maintenance wasn’t in yet so no one could flip the breaker. Room keys reset 3 of 4 days.
