Guesthouse on peaceful 11+ acre homestead! Pet friendly!

  • Come visit our Château De ‘Shop,’ a peaceful nature getaway in East Texas. Tucked away on 11+ acres of forest, this spacious guesthouse is conveniently located in-between Tyler and Lindale. We are just 4 miles south of I-20, and an hour and fifteen minutes in either direction from Dallas and Shreveport. The building was originally a metal barn/workshop, but has been beautifully renovated as a guesthouse. It is located next to our main home on the property! Surrounded by evergreen forest, two creeks, and plenty of wildlife - Château De ‘Shop’ is the perfect place to relax and unwind.

We are a fragrance-free rental! That means that we do not use candles, air fresheners (plug-ins, sprays, etc.), high-powered fragranced cleaning products, or dryer sheets. Our laundry soap and disinfectant spray both have clean ingredients that contain essential oils. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!

The stay was very nice, I’m surprised that they have clean cooking oils or organic dish soap and epsom salts, I just love it.

Great stay!

We had a great stay at this location. We were in town for races at Swan MX and we loved how close we were to Swan. Also, Wal- Mart and severl fast food and sit down restaurants were close. Check-in was very smooth as well.

We arrived with no problem. The space was perfect for our needs. It was convenient to get to all the places we needed to get to. We enjoyed the animals and Bear the sweet dog that resides there. We met the owner He was very nice. We didn't get to stay but one night but would stay here again for longer if we travel to this area again. I would recommend this place if you like to stay away from the busy city but still close to the city area. Everything went smoothly. No complaints.

The host was great! The house was beautiful. The only complaints were the remote didn’t work for the bedroom tv, bed was sunk in the middle, so we didn’t sleep good, and the bath tub wouldn’t hold water. Other than that, it was so peaceful, beautiful and had a great price.

Great place for small getaway

The property was clean and well kept. The host was very nice and easy to communicate with. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare a meal. The kids loved exploring the grounds. It was very enjoyable and close to Tyler State Park.
