Much needed getaway
Great Location! Walking distance to almost everything! Was impressed with the cleanliness of the beach! The room was perfect except minor issues! The TV in the bedroom didn’t work for the first night and we reported it to the night crew at the front desk. Said they'd send someone at 10am. I don't think they contacted anyone! No one showed up. When we went down in the early afternoon, they were right on it. Fixed within an hour. Worked for the rest of the day until the next night and went out again! Gave up! The spa tub didn't work. And there was pink mold/stains only in the jets, which we couldn't use anyway! It's a housekeeping issue!.The soap in the shower wall dispenser was empty. Bring your own hairdryer and essentials! I'm glad i did! The unit is really nice otherwise! The pool is also on this floor! I would recommend this rental as long housekeeping is more thorough! Would I come back, yes! Make sure the restaurant on site knows that the room you are staying in is a timeshare unit! It is the only way to get the discount! We didn't receive it because we didn’t mention that, just that we were staying in the building!

Great Location!
We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed each night. The cleanliness, proximity to the beach and boardwalk restaurants, the indoor pool and jacuzzi as well as the balcony overlooking the beach made this a luxurious trip indeed. Hoping to book the same room for next Labor Day weekend 😊

Promoted as sleeping accommodations for 4. The pull out couch was so bad you could see the springs through the mattress and covered in sand. We had to buy a air mattress to be able to sleep. At check-in process made me sign for 4 beach towels but they were not provided ( neither were linens for couch bed). The pool area is your typical 3 star hotel pool. Only 3 working lounge chairs. The other 2 had broken backs and the other one the 2 front legs were gone. Good thing the beach was the main attraction. Staff was courtesy and friendly and tired to remedy what they could quickly. Can’t beat the location right on the boardwalk.

Perfect Location
Location was great. We are a family of 5 and we were comfortable for the week. Parking garage is small but we made sure if we needed to go somewhere that required driving, we were back by 5pm and had no issues finding a space. Otherwise everything is within walking distance. I don’t recommend eating at Johnny Manana which is downstairs. Food is terrible and overpriced.

Disappointed
The view of the beach was wonderful. Carpet looked gross, wouldn’t take shoes off. Water didn’t heat up very well, kick plate for dishwasher was missing. Large cockroach (dead) in hallway for two days after reporting it to staff. Door handle out to the balcony is not secure.

Unbelievable. No Hot water!!!!!!
We rented it from Mar 25 to April 1, Unit 105. From March 27, PM, to April 1, AM, there was no hot water, with the exception of a few hours on Tuesday morning. We repeatedly complained to the management. We were told that there was a plumbing problem, and they were working on it. There were no plumbers, that we can tell, in the building except those working on a problem with the pool. Low and behold, the water started to get hot early Saturday, April 1. The lower floors had low occupancy during the week, so it appears the management turned off the hot water to save costs. My wife has limited mobility and the lack of hot water was terribly inconvenient, not to say a health hazard. We have traveled extensively around the world and this was one of our worst experiences.

Enjoyed my time
This unit was on the first floor. The pics on the listing showed a balcony so I assumed it would not be on the first floor. It was nice to open the door and be right on the boardwalk. All we had to do was open the curtains or door to see the beautiful sunrise. There are many little interesting shops and eateries within walking distance. The staff were always pleasant and helpful. Parking was very convenient. You can tell it is an older property. The air and appliances were all clean. The linens were fresh and clean. It was a comfortable stay and I would stay here again.

Property Review
The property was okay, but not particularly special. On the positive side, it was beach front and the view was beautiful. Upon further research when we returned home, we concluded that we could have gotten a better deal at several other beachfront properties. It was not worth what we paid.

A little bit of a disappointment!
It says with an oceanfront balcony overlooking the ocean. Well I looked forward to sitting out there morning and night. Instead we were on bottom floor with no privacy and no table. We were straight in from the front doors and had to listen to the staff from usually 5:30 in the morning till 10 at night. The elevator was right beside us as well. Constant noise pretty much the whole stay. It was nice to have easy access to the beach but we felt very deceived by the pictures of the room. You could have a few more dishes for people as well. I had to wash dishes after every meal to be able to eat in. The staff was primarily very distant except one sweet man who was there at the door at check in. This is forcing me to rate property manager communication. Since I didn't call him during my stay I will give a three based on the listing be deceiving.

I will start by saying, this is not a new property. If you are looking for an affordable place to stay within walking distance of almost anything then this place is excellent. It is situated between two public parking areas, which diverts many other beachgoers to the left and right, which makes this area of the beach far less crowded. The staff is friendly and helpful. As I started with, the property does show signs of age and the unit feels slightly dated, but everything worked as it should, and let's face it, you are going to hang at the beach, not the room. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

The location was amazing. Right on the beach which is what we wanted. The host was in communication if needed. The apartment was small but that was expected for the great price and great location. It is an efficiency in terms of cooking. Just a stove top and microwave oven combo which we were not used to but it worked perfectly. There is laundry on the same floor which was so convenient with two boys! It was a little dirty. It appeared clean but the lamp switches were all sticky. Door knobs and pulls on dressers were sticky. I washed all the dishes before using them due to smudges or finger prints. This would not stop me from reserving this location again. It just seemed like maybe kids had been there and touched everything:) It is a hotel in terms of what is there for cleaning. So bring a little laundry detergent, disinfectant wipes or spray if you plan on cooking and eating there. And want to clean up! The staff was so very nice and friendly and helpful. And seemed very busy and overworked, like everyone these days! But they could not have been more helpful with every single request we had. I would stay again and am hoping to go back next year!

Let down
The rooms were adequate, nothing fancy. The pullout sofa had a very uncomfortable mattress/springs. No one got a good night rest on that bed. There is no daily maid service. The jacuzzi jets were not working and the sun tan room had been closed for maintenance for awhile. I was disappointed that each room didn’t have a directory of some sort…let us know about sites and activities. I will not be returning.

Good place for a weekend getaway
The property is dated, but that wasn’t a surprise as the pictures in the listing were accurate. Very clean and the host/staff were very efficient and organized. My only issue with the stay is location as it’s not the nicest area on the boardwalk. For my husband and I, totally fine, but I wouldn’t recommend for anyone looking for a bit more security.

We usually stay in nicer places but we were staying a whole month so had to do something cheaper. This property is still oceanfront on the boardwalk. With COVID we had no room cleaning for the whole month but they were happy to provide towel exchange. Pool was only open to two families at a time, the jacuzzi never worked the whole time. Overall a nice stay even dealing with COVID.

Virginia Beach October
We had an awesome stay at this location! The hotel is located right on the strip and on the beach. It was perfect for my family of 4. We were able to see dolphins swimming from the balcony! And my favorite part of the trip: when I was on the balcony, 3 Black Hawk helicopters flew right along the beach. I mean, if it was daylight I could've seen the passengers' faces. My husband was fortunate enough to see them on their way back through. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

Second Honeymoon
We are in our 70s and I have chronic lung disease. This was perfect for us. Balcony, restaurant, well groomed beaches, dolphins, jets, helicopters. It was all great!

No frills but clean
The unit was as expected although based on other reviews we found it very clean. Fresh linens and towels. It's a no frills unit, but was fine for a short weekend trip to Va Beach. Location couldn't be beat and onsite restaurant was great.

Good location but
This property is in a great location but the whole building was not very clean. It just looked like a quick vacuum and quick wiping down of surfaces in the unit. Only saw 1 person vacuuming the whole stay. The whole place needs a deep cleaning.

Perfect location and great views.
The onsite bar and grill had an acoustic guitar player singer a couple of nights just below our balcony. They we good quality singers so it was nice to have the extra entertainment, that was quite enough that you could not hear it from the room.

Enjoyed our stay in Virginia Beach
This is a great place for 2 people. It’s clean, small and good location. The balcony view is wonderful and we were able to see dolphins from our room. However, the second night we did get a call for a time share opportunity and we ended up unplugging the phone. You do wait a bit on elevators also as only 1 goes past the 6th floor. It is a dated room with old carpet and such but we had a delightful time. If we are ever in VB again, we would stay here.

Great First Time Visit to VB for our 20th Wedding Anniversary!
Peter Brown owner of condo we stayed in was absolutely great in staying in contact with us since booking trip. Also answered all questions very timely before we checked in. The place was very clean, yes it was small but good enough for two of us🤗Oceanfront was fabulous, on boardwalk, two steps to your fan is on the beach! Lots of stores/shops/food! We will for sure be back! The price was well worth it! Thank you to Peter and the staff at Ocean Sands! Memories were made!😊

Very nice stay
We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the unit we rented. Everything was sealed or cleaned, it was nice not feeling like you had to worry about living in someone else’s filth. The view was great and the bed comfortable. Peter did a great job communicating with us about what to expect. I would have been irritated because the check in took a bit longer than expected because it was a VRBO but he was up front from the beginning that it may take a few extra minutes. (Which is all it was) We’d recommend staying and would consider returning if Virginia Beach was our destination.

Hotel was dingy and smelled musty. The worst pull out sofa I’ve ever seen/felt. And very noisy. Barely slept. Too many military jets. Started flying at 8 am and did not stop until 10 pm. We won’t come back.

Overall, it was wonderful! Bed was surprisingly comfortable, place was immaculate clean, jet tub was lovely. View of ocean was PERFECT, including the thunder lightening storm one night. Good idea to bring your own coffee filters...

Nice Spot w/ view
We opted for this because it had a beach view and had the ability to separate the main bed from the pull out bed which makes it easier to put kids to bed (even older kids). I highly recommend a noise making machine we have a small one from amazon its always loud in these sort of place but w/ out the noisemaker it was not too bad it just helped. Our room had a kitchen with cups/plates/spoons and coffee. Only thing really missing was soap to wash hands at the kitchen sink. Loved hot the towels and stuff were stored to show they had been washed. Easy access w/ an entrance card. Small elevator but they did have luggage carts and it did fit in the elevator. Would stay again, very nice thank you. Ps. I think you should hose off the balcony it made our feet amazingly dirty if we went out there barefoot. No big deal kids washed their feet in the jetted tub or wore shoes out there but would be nice if it was cleaned. Very nice chairs on the balcony, amazing view. Would stay again.

Although we rented through Expedia the property was actually VRBO and it was VRBO from whom received all communication. 24 hours before we were to rent we had not received any information about accessing the room so we contacted VRBO. They were very helpful and contacted the property manager whom we had all already tried to contact by clicking on ‘Contact property manager’ in the VRBO email - When clicking on this we would get a ‘Oops cannot contact’ pop up. When we arrived at the property they were very courteous but could not figure out how to access our reservation for 20 to 25 minutes and had to contact the property manager again. It all worked out but was a little bit of a hassle. The room itself was very small and the dad seem more like a fool than a queen but was very clean and had a beautiful view. The shower pressure was very weak and went from scalding hot to freezing cold during the entire shower. Parking was very easy in the garage. Although there is a price listed on Expedia which seemed reasonable the final price was almost twice that with taxes, VRBO fees etc so beware.
