“Wonderful, peaceful and welcoming home. Reese Retreat is as soothing as a visit to grandma's. The lake is very relaxing and quiet. The road is a bit winding and long so you will want to hit the grocery store first. We had a very nice stay.”

The house had ample room for our family of six. The owners were great with responding to messages quickly and they helped us out with extra sheets for an air mattress we brought. “The best dog friendly rental we have stayed in so far. The house was clean, the beds comfortable, nicely updated and the rustic decor charming. Scaly mountain is between Highlands NC and Dillard Ga, so close enough either way to enjoy shopping and restaurants but rural enough to feel like you live in the country. Lots of dog friendly hiking trails nearby. Loved the front porch with its swing and cool evenings, and the fire pit. Definitely recommend.”
