“Breakfast plenty of choice and young lady very helpful. Ground floor room was warm so Reception lent us a fan - thank you. Didn’t like the transparency of the bathroom panels at all.”

“Great pub/hotel/bistro in a beautiful peaceful village. Staff were extremely helpful. We had a wedding with so needed an early check-in and late return. Both were accommodated for. Room was clean, fresh. Continental breakfast was included in price. We also paid extra for cooked b/fast. Very nice freshly cooked, hot, good quality products. Nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely recommend the Star Inn and stay there again. Or even go for a nice meal. Give it a go ! ”

While walking barefoot in the room, I felt something sharp under my foot — it was a piece of nail that a previous guest had cut and left on the floor, which clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. “The room is what you would expect with the Hotel being situated on the side of the M1. It can be a little noisy depending on your room location but the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Good value for the price you pay.”

“Very noisy from outside (noise seems to come from some engine/ heating pipe within the hotel), even with window close! In need of general refurbishment, cold swimming pool.”
