Was ok at first but the morning before dark a lady was attack right outside our room a few doors down, probably will not be staying at this location in the future especially with our young son. The toilet was clogged and didn’t work properly as well but the staff was helpful on what they could do at the moment so no bad reviews on staff. The sheets weren’t clean on one bed looked like a dried blood or poop stain. Other than that area was probably in a sketchy area but is ok for a night.

We were given a room around back! I’ve never stayed at a red roof that wasn’t an inside hotel this was more like a motel! Context- we arrived slightly after midnight man at desk was very nice and gave us our room keys. When we lugged our bags up to second floor bc the elevator is slow and scary. The stench from the room upon opening the door was unbearable. We went down to speak to desk clerk who moved us to the front of building in what they call a “premium room”. It didn’t smell was small and didn’t have many towels so again another trip to the desk. We stayed Thursday-Sunday and were only given towels the night I asked. Our room was never cleaned or made over. There’s a coffee pot in the room but no coffee and the microwave didn’t work. So I guess what I’m trying to say is you get what you pay for this isn’t the Hilton or even holiday inn. If it wasn’t for the nice desk clerk changing our room we would’ve been outta there demanding a refund!

Had a quick stay after working a long day in DC, so a total of 7 hours. First had to wait at window since after hours, with 2 people ahead. That took 10 mins, then my turn and clerk proceeded to tell me he had something so do and puts the “will return in 10 mins” sign up. Not cool since it was already 10:30 PM and I’d worked a double. He returned, got my room and of course, the parking lot and my room reeked of weed! 2nd time in a row at RR I had to deal with the nasty, pungent odor! It will be my last, I can assure you. I know it’s probably common in most “motel” types these days but still sucks. Since I was exhausted I did manage to sleep OK, and the shower worked so that’s about it for the positives. Never again at a Red Roof
