“It was early in the season when we visited this year. It was super quiet, the breakfast is always a great perk of staying here, the location is perfect and the large front porch area is my favorite part of the Inn on Mackinac!! Hearing the clopping of the horses and being just outside of the busiest part of Main Street makes the town feel even more special! Our room also had a great view of Main Strret and we were even high enough to see the harbor! It was a Great visit!”

“Friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, and nice, chill location away from the crowds and shops. All positives. But for what they charge, which I guess is in line with what everyone else charges on the island for rooms, food, and activities, the value is super low. “Nothing can be blamed on front line staff when it comes to this disgrace of a hotel. This is a matter attributed to owner/management. The rooms were in a horrible state with stains on the floors, carpets, etc. The bathrooms, plaster, and fixtures were rusted and falling apart. Breakfast was disgusting and consisted of a picture of Fruit Loops taped to a plastic dispenser, an unplugged waffle maker, along with a coffee and juice dispenser, both of which weren’t functioning. “Worst stay ever. The room had a strong unpleasant odor, and the heater was not working properly. Despite the cold weather, the room never got warm enough, making the stay very uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the shower curtain and curtain rod were already broken when we arrived, which showed a lack of maintenance and attention to basic room upkeep. Overall, the hotel did not meet even basic expectations for comfort and cleanliness. I would not stay here again.”

“I booked a room at Bridge View and once we got there we seen a paper taped to the “lobby” door that we had to go next to the hotel called Sunset. That wasn’t in the booking information! My family woke up early and drove for 4 1/2 hours to get to St. Ignace along with exploring the island all day. So to my surprise once we go to our room there were cobwebs all over the walls, in the bathroom, and covering the screen door with an unbelievable amount of dead bugs and spiders galore in the webs!...

“We booked our stay at this hotel and found it to be in a great location for shopping and eating. The real issue is the facilities are outdated and the place needs to be renovated. Our toilet was not mounted properly, the wall paper was poorly maintained and the overall decor of the room was extremely dated. The beach access was nice, but there needs to be better maintenance of the area and lounge chairs on the beach. We will not be staying here again in the future, unless they put some money...

“Not what pictures portray. Living in Michigan my entire life I think all of mackinaw city has depleted in cleanliness and price gauging. We booked a “superior room” which means nothing like the photos. We were told it’s just a standard queen with a water view balcony. “The room we stayed in was clean, just basic. We stayed at the budget inn and they make it very clear through the booking and on the lobby door of the budget inn that you checkin/out at the Thunderbird Inn next door. The rooms were basic and felt equal to the affordable price we paid. The pools were not open but it was a cold memorial day weekend trip. I got to bring my dog for only $25 for the whole 4 nights.
