  • Allontanati da tutto in questa baita di tronchi nella splendida West Augusta. Godetevi l'ambiente privato circondato da una fattoria di 900 acri che fa da supporto alla George Washington National Forest. Un sacco di passeggiate / sentieri escursionistici, stagni multipli per pescare e liberare la pesca, e varie opportunità di osservazione della fauna selvatica.

    Situato a breve distanza da Historic Staunton o dalla bellissima contea di Highland.

    La casa su misura dispone di un soggiorno aperto con grande camino in pietra, cucina e zona pranzo al piano principale così come la camera matrimoniale e il bagno. Al piano superiore è la seconda camera da letto, bagno e soppalco con vista sul soggiorno. Il seminterrato finito, walk-out dispone di un bar, tavolo da gioco, biliardino e zona salotto con un divano letto e un bagno con lavatrice e asciugatrice. L'area del soppalco e il seminterrato finito forniscono aree per le disposizioni addormentate opzionali, i. e. materassi ad aria

    La casa ha una copertura completa intorno alla piattaforma, compresa una veranda protetta con un grande tavolo da picnic. Rilassati e goditi le splendide viste dalle sedie a dondolo sotto il portico.

    Griglia a gas e carbone sul posto. Biancheria fornita.

    Questa è veramente una vacanza in disintossicazione e relax - non c'è servizio cellulare, niente internet e niente cavo. C'è una TV con lettore DVD e un telefono di casa per il vostro uso. L'ambientazione e l'ambiente circostante compensano la mancanza di intrattenimento digitale.

Wonderful home set in beautiful location

We loved staying at this home! It was a lot more spacious than we expected, which we were pleasantly surprised with. The property is beautiful and we got to see one of the pigs walking around outside the cabin. The only issue we can think of is the downstairs mattress is very loud, but other than that everything was perfect!

Fantastic

We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin....our daughter loved the pigs and made a new friend with Ferdinand the pig.....Luke and Leslie were both beyond welcoming and the cabin is in perfect location . Perfect quiet getaway.

Perfect mountain retreat

This has to be one of the best cabins to stay in in the mountains of Virginia. This is the second time my family and I have stayed here and we absolutely love it. The owners are wonderful people. You wil not be disappointed staying here.

Lovely setting on a working farm

This is a quiet retreat with lovely views and access to good hiking trails in George Washington National Forest. Stanton is a close drive for groceries and small shops for gifts and such

Amazing Cabin

The cabin was clean and well maintained. The property was beautiful with plenty to do. We enjoyed family time around the little lake fishing and walking and using the little row boats available. The views were gorgeous! A peaceful and amazing place to stay!

Annual cabin trip

Fall Break

Amazing family getaway. Peaceful weekend with so many great family activities. We loved feeding the pig some carrots and waking up to the beautiful sunrise over the mountains. Thank you. We hope to come again.

Private Farm

Beautiful location and absolutely beautiful property! Quite with piggies to feed if wanted and 2 lambs walking around on the property. Stayed there for an event we signed up for but could of just stayed on the premises and never left!! Owners very friendly and helpful!

Annual visit

We love coming here. I rent the cabin for myself and my daughter and her family for a Christmas gift. Instead of gifts I do and experience. This is our 3rd year coming. The kids love the pigs!! Only thing missing at this cabin is a hot tub lol

Great family weekend!

Our family stayed at this cabin for the weekend. It’s nestled on a beautiful piece of property with views of the mountains, a small lake and animals- farm and wild! The cabin was spacious. Our kids loved the basement with games. The bedrooms fit us well. Only complaint in the bedrooms were squeaky beds; otherwise, very clean! We ventured to nearby hikes and towns. Thank you and we hope to return soon!

Love the cabin. It was our 6th year coming this time of year. Usually the cabin is stocked with toilet paper and firewood but this year we ran out and had to go to the mountain store. The first year we came there was a Christmas tree in the loft but they don’t put one up anymore. The pig that comes to visit did not disappoint. My grands love the pig! We didn’t see any other animals like in the past. It’s still our fave place to come spend quality time together as a family.

Listing for property actually says under amenities: "Available in the house: WiFi" We contacted the owner while there and we were told there was no wifi at the property. We would not have stayed at this property had we known there was no wifi. As a matter of fact, we left a day early. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!!

A+++ Place to stay

We had an amazing time at the guest house. The property is amazing-very private, beautiful, and the owners provide plenty of activities to do. The kids enjoyed the fishing and the kayaks and the pigs that came by to say hello! We still definitely recommend to family and friends. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Weekend in the mountains

We had a great weekend at the cabin. Remote location, open floor plan and lots of ptroperty to wander about. The kids enjoyed canoeing on the pond and hitting golf balls on "the green."

Weekend Stay

Cabin was home base for our son's JMU graduation weekend. It was great for a casual family party after graduation. Screened porch and walk-out basement/recreation room were great for entertaining.

Fantastic Stay!

WOW! What a great weekend! 65 or 70 on Friday made for a great hike & evening outdoor fire, then woke up to about 3" of snow on Sat. morning. Cabin is nicely appointed, beds comfy, great fireplace inside with wood stacked & waiting for you. We were greeted by "Ferdinand" the pot belly pig and were fortunate enough to meet Luke while walking around the property. What an inviting couple :-) Morning especially picturesque with sun rising over the mountain, steam coming off of the pond, and a Momma cow & her two babies running across the field. Truly a wonderful place and we will definitely be back. Thank you so much for everything!

2nd year cabin stay

We love Charlie’s guest house. It’s our 2nd year coming. Love the pigs. Was sad to see there wasn’t the big Christmas tree in the loft like last year and couldn’t figure out how to get basement warm. But the stay was amazing. The property is picturesque. The cabin is just so cute and comfortable. No gas grill like last year but we managed with the charcoal grill provided. Loved how there were apples for the pigs each day. No cell service is actually a great thing. The family was able to be present and just enjoy each other’s company. The walking trails on the property were great too. Plan on going again next year!! Definitely recommend it.
