“The place was nice and clean. The property was well kept and everything seemed new and clean. The only questionable thing was the elevator. It made some weird noises and bumps going up. Also, breakfast could have had a little more variety.”

“The location is wonderful, just steps away from the Black Friar's Theater, Mary Baldwin University, and several good restaurants and shops. Just as wonderful is the staff - everyone was welcoming and helpful. We also enjoyed breakfast at the hotel's Magnolia South Restaurant. Service couldn't have been better. The hotel has been located in the heart of Staunton for decades. At the same time we felt enchanted by the architecure, we also noticed that the hotel needs some updates and TLC. However,...

“The A/C in our room was broken…80° all night. Clearly there were A/C issues in the entire floor as the lobby on the 4th floor was hot too. Called the front desk; never offered another room. The property is very cool and historic. It was disappointing to have this issue. The rooms were beautifully decorated and well apportioned. The on site restaurant is only open for breakfast which was also frustrating.”

“The "Warehouse" was a unique Place. It was a large Room with Tall Ceiling and very nicely decorated. I stayed in Room#1. The location of the Gibson Warehouse was in the old downtown historic section of Staunton. Revitalized, brightly illuminated, Great resturant right underneath the Hotel part - Byers Street Bistro - great food and service. I will be stayomg there again on my next trip through.”

“We were there two days. When we got back to our room there had been no housekeeping done. My wife went to the office to get some clean towels. She asked why no one cleaned the reply was “we knocked and no one answered””
