“It was large, clean and bright, easy to reach from the rail station and bus service 10 min and the city centre. A bit noise because is on the street. Excellent position to start the walk on the cliffs and see the paradisiac Seven Sisters”

Small spa area which was a nice treat after a days cycling! Our room was on the small side but it was perfectly fine for a short stay (and the bathroom was big!) Would recommend! ”

“Ottimo hotel sopra un pub. Stanza e bagno nuovi e curati nell'arredo. Buona pulizia degli ambienti e buona colazione. Unica pecca non ci è stata rifatta la stanza. Il personale si è limitato solo rimpinguare capsule del caffè e biscotti, ma non sono stati rifatti i letti, pulito il bagno né cambiati gli asciugamani. Ci siamo fermati due notti e non è stato un grande disagio. Solo per questo non assegno il massimo alla pulizia. Il ristorante è buono e adeguato nel prezzo”

“Room had three single beds with very white linen, although my son found a very faint stain on his. Room was clean and beds were comfy. Shower very powerful! View was of a side street so not a seaview, which was disappointing. It's about 1km to town so not far, and there is a row of shops including a Sainsbury's and fish and chip shop behind the hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. ”

“The hotel is fine, it struck me as a kind of an upmarket Premier Inn. Location is good although the Marina restaurants tend to the the Nandos/Pizza Hut/Zizzi end of the market, if you want anything nicer you will need to go into Brighton. The breakfast was expensive for what you got quality wise. It was OK for a night's stay.”

So neither I or my wife could have a shower that evening or the next morning ( today ) . On check out I reminded the manager of this problem , but no redress or discount was offered ; until I asked for a discount .
