“Conveniently located across from the marina, and close to several excellent local restaurants. There is a nice hike to the lighthouse from the hotel, and other great hikes that start a few kilometers (short drive) away. The attached restaurant was excellent and helpful in providing take-away lunch for my dive day. I really enjoyed my stay.”

“We had a party of 4 and were in Room 1 which had 2 single beds in the bedroom and a queen bed in the lounge so was perfect for our group. Room 1 has its own parking space away from the others so no problem there. The main car-parks are normal size, the issue is the size of the vehicle using them ... when everyone has an SUV ... then yes, car-parking is tight. “We got in to Whangarei late, and after a little bit of a challenge trying to find the entrance, we found the front desk. From there our experience was great. The staff were welcoming, talked to us about the parking, and chatted to us about where to find some great restaurants (within easy walking distance).
