Hotel a Wharepuhunga

“Quaint cottage style rooms that looks like it’s from the 60s or 70s. Rooms come with a kitchenette, cutlery, plates, and fridge. Bathroom shower is literally just a walled off portion of the room without a door or even shower curtains. No towel rack next to the shower so I draped my towel over the back of chair I dragged into the bathroom. No power outlets next to the bed, one of the bedside night light quartz bulbs was burnt out. Large Samsung SMART TV was a saving grace. Wi-Fi was adequate but...

“Our family of four had a great one night stay in a chalet. While the living area was cosy, it had everything we needed. It's located in a great spot not far from the caves and close to an excellent restaurant. ”

“Louvre window in bathroom rattled all night in the breeze and the concrete floor provided no sound barrier from the loud footsteps upstairs, which I believe was the staffs quarters.”

“These are small recent cottage, great bed, AC working fine. It is a bit off road but you can go to Cambridge with 12 min. You are aldo close to Hobbyton. Pool closes at 18h00. No staff available past 18h00, no cafeteria or restaurants, and you have to walk to your cottage thru a maze of sidewalk. ”

“I went there for 4 days during my honeymoon. The staff was great and helped us a lot. Around the hotel there's a lot of restaurants, but you can also have dinner at theirs, it's really good. It's nice they have also a self laundry, very important for us who were travelling for a lot of days. “We got the ship room, with balcony - quirky but very dated. The lower part of the boat is quite humid - at night you must close all windows unless you want milllion bugs in your room, so no way to sit outside and enjoy the stars but during the day the views are so pretty. Overall, fun for the kids , clean and ok for 1 night, expensive though ”
