“My stay at Horsley Lodge was fantastic. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left the staff were outstanding . I stayed in the Barn cottage and I cannot recommend it highly enough, the same goes for the food that comes out of their kitchen. I have already started to recommend Horsley Lodge to my friends and family.”

“A wonderful, peaceful break at Borrowfield Lodge. With all the styling and privacy, You can feel like you're way out in the countryside, despite being within easy travel distant of plenty of things to do in Derby. A perfect place to unwind and relax. Great facilities, spotlessly clean and comfortable. I'll definitely be booking again.”

“Corridors were dirty, stairs to rooms go through staff areas & were very smelly, rooms are small, bathroom could be cleaner. Too expensive for the quality. However, the staff were lovely”

“The hotel was clean and it had secure parking around the back. Breakfast is incorrectly advertised as online it says breakfast cooked to order, but in reality it is packaged croissants, apples and cereal. Not the warmest of welcomes from the staff. All round ok stay”

“We had a fantastic stay at The Family Tree. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was lovely, clean and quiet. And the breakfast was amazing! Just a few minutes’ drive from the Tramway Museum, or a lovely 40-minute walk along the canal to the Hurt Arms in Ambergate. In the end, we were sorry that we were only staying the one night; wish we could have stayed longer. We will absolutely stay here again the next time we’re in Derbyshire!”
