Perfect Tranquility

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this Lago Vista property during the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse, and it was nothing short of amazing. The property is beautifully maintained, offering a perfect blend of comfort and natural beauty, ideally situated on the path of totality for the eclipse. What truly set this place apart was the serene back porch with its beautiful lake view. It became my sanctuary, where I could sit back, relax, and soak in the peaceful ambiance. This property provided an ideal experience for witnessing the celestial event, and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Great for families! Beautiful holiday stay

We booked this stay to come celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday with family. The property was lovely. My 10 yo enjoyed fishing off the dock, and playing football in the large backyard. The rest of the family enjoyed the peaceful and beautiful setting. Will definitely be back again.

Nice Location by the Lake

The property was really nice and the view was great. The house was stocked with everything to make the stay comfortable. The only negative is that the dock isn’t really set up for tying off a boat. There isn’t any fenders to protect the boat so I wouldn’t plan on keeping your boat tied up overnight or you could get some nice scratches and holes.

Had a wonderful time at this beautiful property. Well stocked kitchen (slow cooker, blender, pans, measuring cups, etc.). Beds were comfortable and the AC worked great. Loved the views and spent a lot of time on the back deck. Come and enjoy.

Fun, hip Casita with a fabulous View!

This place is everything I want in a lake house. The decor is right up my alley, very inviting, great, fully stocked kitchen, wonderful showers and even better mattresses! I highly recommend and will visit again if the situation arises.

A fantastic getaway just an hour away from Dallas

Our stay was everything we hoped it would be. The beds were the cushiest, coziest, and waking up to the sunrise over the lake was an amazing start to each morning. At night we watched the lightning bugs and enjoyed the sound of waves rolling in. SO zen and relaxing. The neighbors on all sides were friendly, so our stay was serene. Inside, the house had everything we needed for cooking and just enjoying ourselves. We highly recommend this stay! (Keep in mind it's summer and the mosquitos are ready to eat, so pack the bug spray! lol)

Beautiful lakeside setting

My group of 7 ladies, ages 58-71, chose this property for its proximity to First Monday Trade Days in Canton. The house decor was as pleasing as advertised; the patio and backyard were picturesque with vistas over Lake Tawakani. The sleeping accommodations, however, did not meet our expectations. The house was advertised to sleep 12, but that would only be true if 6 were children/young people. With 2 king beds and 2 standard beds, only 6 adults could sleep comfortably. One of our ladies slept on a standard mattress (stored under the bunk bed) that we pulled into the den and wore a sleep mask to shut out the morning sun. The horribly rough, pothole-riddled roads we had to traverse getting to the VRBO are no reflection on the management, but they did distract from the enjoyment of arrival. Overall, the setting and the house provided a tranquil getaway.

A wonderful lake get-a-way!

Beautiful lake views. No city noise! Just birds, lake sounds and the occasional boat. My first time off in 15 months because of the pandemic. Grilled every evening. Romantic candlelight dinners on the porch with beautiful fireflies.
