“We just stopped for the night on the way to HHI. The hotel is new, updated, our room was very spacious. The breakfast had a good variety of food options. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. The only negative was the glass shower door kept sliding open on the track.”

“I was concerned about booking a hotel at this price but prior reviews said it was clean. It was very clean, convenient, and a nice staff. The pool is closed permanently but the room was well equipped and a convenient location for a night or two. It was very quiet during our one night stay. We used it as a place to extend our trip since we could not check in to our condo until the next day. Worked out great for us! Would do that again. ”

“The room and all the bedding and linens felt completely damp. I believe it was the wall’s air-conditioning unit. It made for a dreadful nights sleep. Additionally, the room had a really funky and almost toxic smell. Wondering if they had used some sort of pest control substance recently. All in all totally yucky.”

“The property was in prime location. Just a few minutes to the beach by foot. Literally five minutes. Location was perfect. You can walk just a few blocks and be in the downtown area where you can get food and drinks without any worries about driving. The motel was cute and vintage. Very adorable. Great for a few nights day. If you don’t mind a tiny house living the Royal Palms is the perfect place.”

“This was a nice stay. The rooms were clean. The staff was very helpful. There were no smoky smell that usually occur in this kind of hotel. My husband did get in the pool and he said that was good. “All of the staff were extremely helpful especially Anna and Teresa. The Breakfast buffet was very good, and you also had the option of ordering off the menu. All food was very good even the dinner which we enjoyed twice on the property. Any problems (which were minimal) were addressed immediately.
My only issue was it is advertised as within a mile of shops & restaurants (which is true) however we did not have a car, and it is not walkable from the hotel. No sidewalks. So taking an Uber...

“First I have stayed in luxury hotels before- this is not one. Though it is unique in its on way because of the age of the building. The staff are excellent, professional and courteous. Having 2 restaurants on the lower level was very convenient and th managers welcome daily was nice. I think you are really paying for the view because it is absolutely beautiful!!! “This is an older hotel but I must say it’s very clean inside. I had no issues whatsoever with our room, clean all around, comfortable bedding. Nice work area. The breakfast was not great, eggs were not eggs but the bacon was good. Just small selection, less than I anticipated. This hotel was a Perfect value for the money!”

“The staff was helpful and nice we were only there for one night, We booked it because of the so-called good reviews that were on this site but won't in our cleanest supposed to be but when we got there our room look like it hasn't been cleaned in weeks there were so many giants stains all over the floor there was crumbs and stuff all swept under the desk in the room. Overall property was okay but the room was not clean at all. Staff was friendly.”
