“Top class location with easy and picturesque walk to high street via cathedral. Friendly, courteous staff. Characterful clean room with excellent welcome freebies ( bottle of beer, sweet treats). Fridge in the room with real milk and chilled water. A very characterful bar & dining room in the pub which was clearly very popular with locals too. Slight downsides: not great privacy of ensuite facilities from bedroom, slightly over-priced evening meal even for Winchester, some early morning...

“La stanza era molto accogliente e carina. Ma la pulizia piuttosto sommaria, la polvere andrebbe tolta! Per fortuna lenzuola e asciugamani erano pulitissimi. Bella l'idea della macchinetta per il caffè...peccato che non ho avuto il coraggio di usarla! Anche quella andrebbe pulita!! Tralasciamo le macchie sulla moquette...purtroppo è davvero poco igienico questo tipo di pavimento. Colazione continentale discreta. ”

“Easy to get to, tasty food. Evening staff both fab, morning person not as much. Bedroom and bathroom lovely size and biscuits/tea generous. Slept well, though the radiators were rather hot and I didn’t know how to turn them down. Evening food delicious but morning breakfast could have been better; toast came out cold. Breakfast is slightly weird in that it’s not a self-serve, you get drinks brought to you from the options you circled on a menu from the previous night. Parking was easy but...

“La stanza era arredata molto bene e in modo originale, le dimensioni adeguate e il letto spazioso. Il bagno era stato pulito molto in fretta, se era stato pulito: sul lavandino c'eral'impronta di una saponetta usata precedentemente, la parte del WC sotto l'asse era sporca di urina in più punti. Il pavimento del bagno era stato scopato, ma lurido perché non lavato probabilmente per più giorni. Nella teiera nell'armadio della camera abbiamo trovato le bustine di té bagnate del cliente precedente!...

“Great hotel. Staff were good but let down with restaurant weekend staff that could have done more. I kinda felt they didn't make an effort asking a colleague or finding out to andwer my questions instead of just saying "I don't know" Got my simple request wrong 3 times which was a shame. In the end I didn't insist anymore as I felt will just add to my stress.”
