“The staff was very helpful and kind”

“It was clearly once a nicer hotel, but has slipped over time. That happens with 50+ year old properties that don't receive investment over time to stay top tier. Hotel was acceptable but the experience was not worth the price I paid. Staff were helpful for the most part but it's clear the hotel is being run on the cheap. The main thing this hotel has going for it is its location. If you are lucky enough to score the rooms facing east, the view of DC is incredible.”

“Desk Clerk at 1:30am during check in was not very friendly or helpful. We asked for a luggage cart, he told us there were none available. When we went to elevator dragging our luggage there were 2 luggage cart sitting in the elevator area. Very poor service, did not move from the desk, was constantly staring at cell phone.”

“The shuttle was not available, waited an hour, called the hotel several times, but no one answered. The only solution was to take a taxi. Upon arrival they had confirmed the possibility of the room until 6pm, with a supplement, but today they told that it was no longer possible.”

“Traveled with my family. First day, we checked in, the microwave was filthy smelly with milk. I brought it to the attention of the reception, they did nothing to correct it. The beds aren’t comfortable. We was supposed to spend two nights but we checked out the next day. Bad experience.”

“We spent a night at this hotel after a long flight. It offered everything we needed and more. Excellent location, airport shuttle, courteous staff, clean, comfortable room and a good breakfast selection.”

“The Hotel is a typical Holiday Inn, clean and simple…but what we didn’t like was the breakfast. No choice, for 4 days the pancake machine wasn’t usable for unknown reason.. This aspect must be improved. The pool need to be cleaned more ..”

“It's a Red Roof, so I don't expect frills. Room was clean. The AC unit in our room kept cool but didn't seem to pull the humidity out. Fridge was handy, the breakfast very limited. Only gripe I have really is the center door, which is supposed to be secure, was not operational. So anyone could gain access to the building.”

“Very nice stuff. Great breakfast (included). Rom was clean, but only ok. I guess I still live in the past, when these prices would get you much better accommodations. Air conditioner was quite noisy. So since anything around Washington DC is very expensive, I guess this is ok.”
