“Hotel was perfect for a weekend away. Lobby was clean and well organized for the breakfast and staff were kind and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. We ate one meal at the saloon and had a very tasty flat bread pizza. Our only complaint was that somewhere in a room close by an alarm clock went off at midnight both nights. Since we were the only guest there the first night we figured it was in an empty room. We left a note for the staff to correct. The alarm ran for about an hour so...

“The Mermaid Inn is one of our favorite motels. The rooms are decorated with a Mermaid/nautical style with some retro appliances. Overall gives a very homey feeling. Rooms are very clean, staff is really friendly and helpful. Situated between a gas station/store and a Mexican restaurant you have access to fresh food and all the amenities you might have forgotten to pack. Like much of the Long Beach peninsula, the Mermaid is quiet and laid back...but still in walking distance to "downtown" and...
