“We had a wonderful time at this ryokan. We chose this inn specifically for its remote location and traditional atmosphere and were not disappointed. The hotel, outdoor onsen, and woodsy surroundings were all excellent. The building is old and reminded me of the railroad lodges of the western United States: creaky old doors and floors, metal keys, and rotary dial phones.
Other than the hotel, there are no restaurants nearby (that I know of) and dinner is an elaborate kaiseki ryori that requires...

“Bestilte og fikk et veldig flott rom med egen onsen. I tillegg til veldig god middag og frokost på privat spiserom, så var det vel verdt pengene å ha tilgang til egen varmtvannskilde utendørs, døgnet rundt.
Servicen var også upåklagelig, med veldig hyggelig betjening.
En av de ansatte kjørte oss til og med til riktig busstopp ved utsjekk, når vi innså at vi hadde kjøpt feil billett.
Vil absolutt anbefale plassen om man ser etter et avslappende opphold for en dag eller to.”

“Ha sido una experiencia perfecta en este ryokan. Aunque el acceso es algo difícil, hay una parada de autobús junto enfrente del ryokan que os permitirá llegar a Hirayu Onsen y a Takayama. La comida es espectacular. Y los Onsen, una maravilla. Mención especial para la amabilidad del personal.”

“Ottimo ryokan, la nostra stanza era molto bella con un piccolo onsen privato. La cena e la colazione erano buone servite in una piccola stanza privata, la ragazza che le ha illustrate parlava un inglese più che discreto ed era molto gentile e solare. Ottimi onsen pubblici dividi tra femminili e maschili (noi abbiamo svuto la fortuna di non trovare nessuno all'interno della zona, sia nel pomeriggio che nella sera).

"Una bella struttura moderna a 15 minuti dal castello di Matsumoto e dal suo bellissimo centro storico. Camere ampie dotate di tutti i comfort. Personale cordiale e disponibile. Per chi giunge in auto, comodo parcheggio all'aperto dell'albergo o uno coperto a poca distanza convenzionato. Per visitare Matsumoto questa è un'ottima base. Colazione abbastanza standard e più in linea con i gusti giapponesi. "
