“The person at the front desk spoke English very well. This was one of the most unique (in a good way) properties that I stayed at. The room was spotless, and in the traitional Japanese style. It was very large and had a mini SNES with large TV. The window blinds were of the traditional so I woke up early.
There is a game room with some retro games as well as a massage chair.

“The staff at this property is top notch. My friends and I were welcomed warmly, quickly given recommendations in and around Kusatsu, and even provided a complimentary sweet milk, traditionally consumed after an onsen soak.
The facility was very much a labor of love. The private onsens were clean, convenient, and absolutely rejuvenating.
The public areas were intimate, clean, and provided retro video games and board games.

“ホテルから湯畑までの送迎バスがあり、駐車場悩むことなく、草津温泉街を巡れたこと。
夕食時間が５時からと早い時間帯でしたが、夜の湯畑のライトアップを見れる時間としてのバスの時間を提案していただき楽しめました。欲を言えば、9時台の送迎があればもう少しゆっくりとできたと思います。”

“This ryokan was lovely- all the staff were so accommodating and made us feel very special! The ryokan itself is dainty and pleasant. There was public Onsens for women’s and men’s separate (in the women’s there was 1 indoor and 1 outdoor public Onsen with shower room inside). You can also book a private Onsen when you arrive - they have 45 min time slots for 3000 yen! Also very quick walk to Yubatake and the bus station! Would recommend”
