This was our fifth trip to Half Moon Bay. We have stayed at other condos, but if you need a third bedroom, Nikte or Nikte-Ha, next door, is the place to stay. We stayed in Unit 1, which is on the ground floor. You can walk outside your bedroom right past the pool and onto the beach, about 75 feet away. You are close to most restaurants, although if you continue down the road to the second condo complex, they have a office that rents golf carts. Alejandro is the man to see. He has newer powered golf carts and the cheapest price. Deal direct with him to save money. Renting a golf cart lets you do over the bridge to the old town. Many Mom and Pop restaurants and sidewalk cafes. They have a market to buy fresh fruit which you really can't on the ocean side of Akumal. We just love this area. Laid back, you can snorkel right off your condo, and restaurants within walking distance. We went in the off season, late October, and many times you could look up and down the beach and maybe see five people. If you like laid back, this is the place to go. If you like the nightlife and parting to 2 am, head to Cancun or Playa.
